HORMONE HOLOGRAM G: GLP-1 AGONIST PATHWAYS 🧬⚡

With the rapid rise in medications such as Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound®, Saxenda® and Trulicity®, practitioners are increasingly working with clients whose appetite, satiety, glucose regulation, digestion, energy metabolism and food reward pathways are being altered through GLP-1 receptor signalling.

Hormone Hologram G – GLP-1 Agonist Pathways is a completely new one-day Neuroenergetic Kinesiology workshop exploring the complex metabolic and neurological pathways involved.

🌿🧬 This workshop examines:

✨ GLP-1, GIP and glucagon receptor pathways
✨ Dual and triple receptor agonists including tirzepatide and retatrutide
✨ Appetite, satiety and food reward pathways
✨ Gastric emptying and nutrient sensing

A major focus is interoception - how the brain interprets internal physiological signals relating to nourishment, satiety, glucose availability and energy balance.

Medication-induced receptor activation may occur without all the sensory events that normally accompany naturally occurring GLP-1, GIP and glucagon signalling, creating the potential for an interoceptive mismatch between what the brain predicts and what the body is signalling.

🌿 Within the Neuroenergetic Kinesiology framework, the workshop explores balancing the body’s capacity to interpret and integrate these altered metabolic messages.

🌿 It also includes detailed acupressure formats, receptor ligands, physiological functions, interoceptive messages and challenge statements for Indicator Muscle Testing.

HORMONE HOLOGRAM C – CHRONIC INFLAMMATION RESOLUTION PATHWAYS 🔥🧬

Inflammation is an essential defence response - but it is designed to progress beyond activation into resolution, repair and a return to homeostasis.

So what happens when that resolution phase is disrupted?

Hormone Hologram C explores the specialised pathways that help the body transition from inflammatory defence towards clearance, tissue repair, regeneration and restored function.

And this one-day workshop has now received a major upgrade.

The addition of interoception brings an entirely new layer to the course, exploring not only which biochemical resolution pathways may be under stress, but also the internal physiological messages associated with those pathways.

A major focus is the specialised pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) - fatty acid-derived hormones that actively coordinate the completion of inflammation.

🌿 These mediators do more than simply reduce inflammation. Within the framework explored in this course, they form part of a resolution signalling system that helps communicate when defence has been completed and the body can move towards clearance, repair, regeneration and homeostasis.

LEAKY GUT PATHWAYS 🦠

Increased intestinal permeability - often referred to as “leaky gut” - is increasingly recognised as an important factor in chronic inflammatory and immune dysfunction.

It occurs when the tight junctions between intestinal epithelial cells become compromised, allowing substances that would normally remain within the gut to interact more readily with the immune system.

This advanced course takes a deep dive into the physiology, immune activity and biological pathways involved in increased intestinal permeability.

You’ll explore the proteins that maintain the intestinal barrier, the mechanisms that influence tight junction integrity, and the roles of immune signalling, microorganisms and other contributing factors and learn how to address these pathways using the holographic method of Neuroenergetic Kinesiology.

ENERGY OR NEUROLOGY?

What if some of the techniques kinesiology inherited from acupuncture have neurological effects we are only now beginning to understand?

Acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years. Traditionally, its effects have been explained through Qi, meridians and the movement of vital energy through the body.

But modern acupuncture research has given us another lens.

Studies have investigated mechanisms involving mechanoreceptors, sensory signalling, fascia and mechanotransduction, adenosine signalling, pain modulation and changes within the central nervous system.

Neuroimaging research has also demonstrated effects involving brain regions associated with pain, emotion, autonomic regulation and defensive responses — including the insula, anterior cingulate cortex, amygdala and periaqueductal grey (PAG).

So where does this become interesting for kinesiology?

Many kinesiology systems use acupuncture points — but instead of needles, we commonly stimulate them using pressure or touch.

Mechanical pressure on the skin, fascia and underlying tissues provides sensory information that travels through the nervous system into networks involved in sensory integration, pain, emotion, autonomic regulation and defensive organisation.

In other words:

When we press a point, perhaps we aren’t simply “moving energy”.

We are also giving the nervous system information.

This is the thinking behind Hugo’s term Neuropressure — interpreting acupressure-based techniques through the possibility of mechanoreceptor-mediated neuromodulation of central circuitry.

It doesn’t mean acupuncture research directly proves how these kinesiology techniques work.

But we also don’t have to choose between accepting a centuries-old energetic explanation and dismissing the possibility of a physiological mechanism altogether.

There is another possibility.

Perhaps people discovered that particular forms of touch, pressure and point stimulation affected the body thousands of years before we had words like mechanoreceptor, mechanotransduction or periaqueductal grey.

The observation may have come first.

The explanation may still be evolving.
