Murwillumbah Early Education Centre (“MEEC” as it has become affectionately known) is an old, two story Queenslander located in Murwillumbah township. The Queenslander was built in 1907 and in 2017 underwent extensive renovations to convert it into a beautiful and modern child care centre which still retains its character and part in the history of Murwillumbah. resents a “home away from home” for our children and educators. Upstairs are two preschool rooms, one for the younger preschoolers and one focussed exclusively on the transition to school program for the older preschoolers. Downstairs is a babies' room combined with younger toddlers plus a separate toddlers room. Other rooms include a staff room opening out onto a quiet and peaceful back veranda, a fully equipped kitchen, a reception area and office, upstairs and downstairs staff and parent amenities and undercover parking. The building has all modern conveniences including 24hr security, digital lock entry, air conditioning, intercom system, internal food lift and internal stairs. The playground is exciting and a wonderful place of discovery and activity. It is located at the rear of the building in a safe and off- street position. It includes quiet areas under the hut and verandas for arts and crafts. Warning climber with slide, a large covered sandpit, dry creek bed, soccer. Or tennis area, and a rainwater tank for those mud pies, a bike track, a veggie patch for growing organic vegetable snacks for the children. Climbing equipment and a running and ball games area enable lots of energy to be dissipated. With the real Mt Warning visible from the back veranda and large gum trees across the road alongside the Tweed River, the centre is very “leafy” yet convenient centre for you and your children. Murwillumbah Early Education Centre provides high quality care and education offered by our dedicated team of professional educators, along with freshly cooked meals provided daily by our expert chef, an “in town” location providing parents with flexibility and options for attending a centre right in the heart of the growing retail and commercial district of Murwillumbah.
