Murtoa College is looking into an application for after school care/ vacation care but we need evidence of a need. We are interested in hearing from families that would be interested in accessing out of school hours or or vacation care (usually accomodating students aged 5-12) now or in the future.

Hi Murtoa Mums and Dads,

Some good news.
Murtoa College is looking into an application for after school care/ vacation care but we need evidence of a need. 2 questions I need you to answer.( I will be posting on other other fb pages you only need to answer once and I will collate Sunday night)
1: would you access after out of hours school care ?
2: Would you access vacation care during holidays
3: Do you currently use private or childcare services during the out of hours school times to help with pick up drop off?

I hope this makes sense. This is all the info I have at the moment but if we got out of hours school care it would push our application for childcare / kinder I would think.

Please comment you answer to each question below ( Rupanyup Primary School is still to be explored)

Message from Janet;

I have just received clarification from the Yarriambiack shire that our kinder here in murtoa will be operating tomorrow as normal, 8:30am - 4pm, Tuesday 24th March. After tomorrow no kinder in the shire will open until further notice. It is your choice to send your child tomorrow but there is no obligation to do so. Please do not send your child if they are unwell. Please reply that you have received this message. Thank you Janet

Hi all,

Hope everyone is well and keeping safe.

Due to the current circumstances regarding the COVID-19 virus it is unlikely kinder will be operating tomorrow (Tuesday) and Thursday.

This is also the last week of term. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holidays.

We will wait and see what the plan is and if term 2 will commence after the break. We’ll endeavour to keep you updated via this page and the Facebook message group.

If anyone has any good ideas for entertaining/teaching kinder aged children please post here and share your successes. 👌

KINDER HOURS: 8:30am - 4:00pm Tuesday, & Thursday
The first couple of weeks the times will be shorter to allow for a smooth transition.
