Do you love playing outside, enjoying water play, and sliding down a hill on cardboard? Are you looking for a role where you feel supported, welcomed, and excited to come to work each day? If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!

Living Faith Lutheran Kindergarten is a standalone 2 room Kindergarten located on the primary school site offering care for children in the year before school.

We are currently seeking casual educators to join our team. Shifts may be consistent each week or vary, covering staff leave and sickness. The shifts may vary over the centre hours of 6.30am to 6.00pm.

📌 Qualifications are preferred (or a willingness to enrol in study within 3 months.)

📌 Applicants must have a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or be willing to obtain).

Learning About Kindness with the Fruit of the Spirit 🍓

The children have been exploring kindness by creating their very own “kindness strawberries”!

The children confidently followed the steps, working independently within their groups. This activity also helped practice fine motor skills – tracing their hands for the leaves, drawing a heart for the strawberry, and adding fingerprints as seeds.

Throughout our day, we often talk about the many ways we can show kindness to one another, like “giving a hug when someone is sad,” “helping a friend when they fall,” or “sharing toys with others.”

The children enjoyed a wonderful sensory play experience!

With boards, shaving foam, sparkles, and different food colourings, the children put on their art smocks and began squishing, mixing, and exploring all the textures.

Sensory play is a fantastic way to support children’s learning, helping develop fine and gross motor skills, cognitive growth, and social skills.

Some of the children’s thoughts during play:

“Slimy!”

“Feels smooth.”

“Feels really sticky.”

“Feels so, so soft.”

“My fingers are messy!”

What a fun way to learn through touch and creativity!

Sensory Fun at Kindy!

We had a wonderful time making our very own Moonsand!

The children worked together to mix, pour, and stir the ingredients, watching the texture change as the sand began to form. There was so much excitement as everyone took turns helping and seeing the magic happen right before their eyes!

Once our Moonsand was ready, the real fun began - we spent the afternoon exploring, squishing, shaping, and creating. The children made all sorts of amazing things, from mountains and cupcakes to imaginative little worlds. It was such a great opportunity for sensory play, creativity, and teamwork.

We love hands-on experiences like this that encourage curiosity, collaboration, and plenty of laughter!
