🎭 What an incredible success Rocktopus the Musical has been! 🌟

We are so proud of our amazing students, who shone on stage with confidence, talent, and enthusiasm. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, supportive families, and wonderful volunteers whose time, encouragement, and hard work helped bring this production to life.

Basketball Carnival 🏀

Selected Year 5 students participated in the Murraylands Basketball Carnival at the Murray Bridge Stadium on Tuesday, 25 August. Both the boys' and girls' teams played six games against other schools from across the district.

Throughout the day, all students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, teamwork and determination. They represented our school with pride, encouraging one another and showing respect to their teammates, opponents and officials.

The boys' team performed strongly, securing several wins and finishing the carnival in an impressive third place. The girls also showed great effort and resilience in their matches, continuing to improve their skills and work together effectively as a team.

Congratulations to all students who participated and represented our school so positively at the carnival.

Congratulations to all of our students who have participated in the ICAS assessments over the past two weeks!

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude shown while challenging themselves in these internationally recognised academic competitions.

Thank you for giving your best effort and embracing the opportunity to extend your learning. We look forward to celebrating your achievements when the results arrive!

🌟Small Acts, Big Impact 🌟

Last week, St Joseph’s proudly participated in Bullying. No Way! Week 2026, exploring how small acts of kindness can make a big impact in helping people feel that they belong. When everyone belongs, bullying struggles to exist. Throughout the week, students engaged in activities, lessons and challenges focused on belonging, kindness, inclusion and positive action.

A key focus across the school was encouraging students to think about the positive difference they can make through their everyday words and actions. Students set personal Kindness Goals and explored practical ways to help others feel welcome, valued and included.

The week concluded with our In All Things Kindness Assembly, where students proudly shared their learning with families, staff and peers. We were incredibly proud of the many student leaders who demonstrated courage, leadership, and respect as they presented to the school community.

While Bullying. No Way! Week has come to an end, the message continues. By choosing kindness, inclusion and positive action each day, we can all help create a school where everyone belongs.
