Monarto Safari Park adventures with some peers!

Such a magical experience riding on the bus, looking out the windows, pointing out the many different animals, seeing a 2 week old baby giraffe and making new friends! 🤩

Belair National Park 🌿

What a wonderful day we had exploring the beautiful park! The adventure playground included huge tunnels, a massive castle, tree cubbies, lots of climbing but one of our favourites was the huge muddy puddles!

Gross motor skills were challenged in all aspects as we wandered around, up, down, across and had to find ways to safely use the natural environment.

We spotted some kangaroos as we drove into the park, heard some kookaburras laughing away and enjoyed watching the cheeky birds steal some crumbs from our picnic lunch.

We’ll definitely be returning to do some more exploring soon! 💖

Exploring Carrick Hill was such a beautiful adventure this week! The sun was shining & our little explorers had such an amazing time wandering around finding some secret treasures on the Storybook Trail! 📚

Recently through my Uni studies I came across the 8 Ways - an Aboriginal pedagogy framework. After some research & planning, we’ve started incorporating more Indigenous perspectives into our daily routines & experiences.

This week during the heat we explored some Aboriginal symbols using playdough. We discussed the symbols and their meanings and attempted creating some of the symbols, also focusing on fine motor skills.

The 8 Aboriginal Ways Of Learning framework is something we’ll be using frequently alongside the Early Years Learning Framework 🥰

2025 so far!

- walk to the park to practice those gross motor skills
- watching the ducks & spotting “sharks” in the river to connect with nature
- visiting the Bunyip also known as the Mulyawonk to the Ngarrindjeri people
- building towers and rocket ships using fine motor skills
- enjoying the sunshine while balancing and mowing lawns

So much fun with my little friends! 💖
