🔆TUTORS & LEADERS TRAINING
Thursday 20 August, 2026.

▶️It was pleasing to have so many tutors and leaders attend the first Member Wizard Training session at White Park Community Clubrooms. What a milestone.

▶️Kathryn Schapel, the Member Wizard Ambassador from U3A Campbelltown delivered a great training session. Committee members were there to support learners as well.

▶️Feedback was very positive and they were eager to learn more.

▶️Member Wizard software is a cloud-based membership management application designed for not-for-profit organisations, clubs committees and groups.

▶️Kathryn was thanked with a lovely card personally signed by all who attended, and a box of delicious fresh fruit and veggies.

▶️Congratulations to everyone who participated, including the support from committee members. What a productive enjoyable afternoon.

✅Sharing information to all members of this community from the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge

This is a special invitation to join with members of the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge on 1st September when we will hear from Richard Sheppy the CEO of Fat Farmers about their Rural Health Initiative. Their aim is to INSPIRE, and ENCOURAGE rural communities to improve their health and well-being through physical activity including gym workouts, walking groups and community events.
Venue is the Bridgeport Hotel, 2 Bridge St Murray Bridge from 6pm.

▶️Thank you to feedback from Wendy Osborne about this event.

▶️Over 40 attended the talk by Laura Lo and Laura Snedden from Medic Alert in Adelaide. These presenters were from Inside Sales Team Leader | Partnership & Growth Specialist.
Laura Snedden was the key presenter with Laura Lo shared technical parts of the presentation.
They were both excellent speakers sharing information about the program, including talking to nursing homes throughout SA and the new QI on all new medic alert watches, personal alarms.

Congratulations to Rotarian John Whimpress and the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge team with another successful Aged & Carers Expo. The event was held at the Town Hall in Murray Bridge with an estimated 300 plus visitors from the Murraylands and surrounding region.

It was an opportunity and a privilege for U3A Murraylands to participate with 30 other services for a third consecutive year.

The U3A Office at White Park Community Center is open on Thursdays from 10am, at 19 Mulgundawah Road, Murray Bridge.

If you are over 50 years of age, and not working full time, call in for a chat to discover what U3A is all about.

⭐U3A SOUTH AUSTRALIA⭐
✅Triannual Meeting Friday 17th July 2026

▶️Delegates and guests representing U3A Member Organization's met via Zoom for the regular July Triannual meeting. The last two meetings were held totally online given the cost and uncertainty of fuel supplies.

▶️The meeting was well attended with delegates and guests from 16 of 20 Member Organizations attended the online meeting. Alan O'Connor the delegate from Port Adelaide zoomed in from Maroochydore.

▶️Minutes will be distributed to all Member Organizations in the near future including details of the U3A SA 20th Anniversary.

▶️In accordance with the U3A SA Constitution, delegates endorsed the appointment of the U3A SA Executive that Helen Elix be Acting President until the AGM in October. Helen accepted the appointment and thanked the delegates for their unanimous support.
