Positive food experiences help shape lifelong attitudes!

Food is about so much more than nutrition. It's about having fun, learning new skills, sharing special moments and making memories together! 🧑‍🍳❤️

At Murrabit Group School, we believe children should have opportunities to explore, prepare and enjoy food in a positive, pressure-free environment.

🥣 Whether it's cooking together, growing vegetables, trying something new or sharing a meal, these little experiences can help build healthy habits that last a lifetime!

💚 Let's make food fun, not stressful!

Calling all Label Detectives!

As part of National Nutrition Week 2026, Murrabit Group School is encouraging families to look beyond the colourful packaging and discover what’s really in our food!

Did you know that ingredients are listed from greatest to least by weight? Or that a higher Health Star Rating doesn't always mean a food is the healthiest choice?

Our Label Detectives poster shares 8 handy clues to help families make more informed food choices.

💚 Remember, it's not about perfect lunchboxes — it's about learning, exploring and making small, positive changes!

Hi Everyone,
The sleepover was a great success. It was busy, busy, busy. After the setting up of the tents and swags, we had games with Mr Mon and art activities with Mrs GT. It was great to see the children enjoying the activities and parents interacting with their children.
The Bbq was very popular and then our parents headed home as it was getting dark.
Moppy and Emily had two leadership activities which they then put in place. They showed the children how to make a smore which they all did. We all went on a night walk around Murrabit and had to find clues for Emily and Moppy’s questions. Well done girls.
When we returned we cooked our smores and marshmallows around the campfire. They were delicious, although some were a little overcooked.
Our final activity was a game of Sardines. All our activities were outside in the dark making photos difficult, but I can tell you they had a great time by the amount of chatter going on.
Even the hot milo before bed only calmed them down a little bit but eventually they went to sleep. We even had someone talking in their sleep 😳😳
Up early, with the children doing different things. Campfire, basketball, golf and a walk. A big breakfast of toast….. not one child had cereal which surprised us… and they were ready for another day.
Your children were fantastic. So much fun, and very polite. I am glad it is Friday though😂😂
