This time last week, our Starting Strong team, in partnership with PCYC South Burnett, welcomed children aged 0–5 and their families, alongside our Prep to Year 2 students, to Gymnastica Fantastica!

The afternoon provided valuable time to connect with children, families and our early childhood education and care partners. What we heard has helped shape Starting Strong for Term 4.

Our monthly events and visits to local early childhood services will continue, with a new weekly opportunity for children starting Prep at Murgon State School in 2027 and their families commencing in Week 1.

More information will be shared next week.

Yesterday, a member of the community entered school grounds without authorisation. This occurred after school hours, and no students were onsite. Queensland Police Service attended and safely managed the incident.

As an additional safety measure, security will be stationed at the back gate on Krebs Street for the remainder of the term.

The safety and welfare of our students remain our highest priority. A letter to parents and carers will be sent home with students today.

For privacy reasons, we cannot provide further details about the incident. Thank you for your understanding.
