Thank you to all the fathers and father figures who joined us for our annual Father’s Day Breakfast this week! The event provided an excellent opportunity for our Kennedy community to connect and share the joys and challenges of fatherhood.

This year, we had the privilege of hearing from Anthony Palmieri, who has served in pastoral ministry for over 25 years and currently serves as Lead Pastor (Gospel & Witness) at Riverview Church. He is also a former Senior Pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church and a fellow Kennedy parent.

He emphasised three main points for parents: continue showing up for your kids; keep encouraging and passing on courage; and let them go to release them well.

We appreciate everyone who attended the morning, and a big thank you to the Beedawong staff for putting on an amazing breakfast, and all staff and students who helped support throughout the day. We hope everyone enjoyed the experience!

Thank you to all who joined us for our Community Open Day 2026.

We welcome more than a thousand visitors to explore our vibrant College Community and discover everything Kennedy Baptist College has to offer.

From inspiring Performing Arts performances to interactive Learning Area displays and demonstrations, the campus came alive with energy and community. Including an exciting scavenger hunt to go in the draw to win tickets to our upcoming 2027 production of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’! A big thank you to our Parents & Friends Association for supporting the day with food and stalls, and to for bringing fun activities to our community.

With Kennedy’s rising popularity, early registration is key to securing your child’s spot. Visitors learned about the Colleges' history, future building plans, career opportunities and connected with alumni. Incoming students got a feel for life at Kennedy and began to feel at home.

We are excited to welcome Brayden Ainsworth, a former Western Australian AFL player turned Youth Mental Health leader. Brayden will explore the pressures young people face when they tie their identity to achievement, comparison, and external validation.

The story of the ‘Prodigal Son’ is about a young man who makes a terrible decision. While this may be a story of a specific person, it can also speak to our own decisions and the choices made by the people in our lives.

In this morning’s Monday devotion, we heard from one of our Humanities teachers as he put the first part of this parable into a modern perspective, and how it can teach us valuable lessons in our relationships and in our own hearts.

Over the weekend, the Kennedy Pedal Prix Racing Team loaded up their trikes, rallied four teams of riders and travelled to Busselton to compete in their final race of 2026!

The day delivered plenty of excitement. What began as a beautiful day racing through the streets of Busselton quickly turned into a test of resilience, with an unfortunate crash and a hard-fought battle of endurance before two Kennedy teams claimed victory.

Congratulations to the 2026 Pedal Prix Kennedy Racing Team on a great season. Thank you to all our staff, students and families for your ongoing support and encouragement to our team. We look forward to continuing our racing next year.

The Interhouse Athletics Carnival was full of energy as students encouraged one another and did their best in every event. Students competed in fantastic field and track events, including javelin, shot put, long jump, relay races, and sprints. Meanwhile, at Carnival B, there were lively team games filled with competition and plenty of laughter!

Congratulations to Osprey for gaining a huge 1,739 house points, defending their title from last year as winners of the 2026 Interhouse Athletics Carnival!
We look forward to Week 9 when our top athletes will be representing Kennedy Baptist College at the ACC Interschool Athletics Carnival, advancing to Division C after our 2025 success!
