At Kennedy, student well being sits at the heart of everything we do. Through a range of dedicated programs, we strive to create a nurturing and connected school community where every student feels supported.
A key part of this is our weekly Pastoral Care Time, held every Wednesday morning. During this time, each year group comes together to take part in a variety of engaging activities ranging from interactive discussions, guest speakers, group sessions and the much-loved Pancakes with Pete.
We’re excited for what Term 3 will bring, with more enriching experiences and opportunities for our students to grow together as a community.

Have you ever come across a time when everything was so hard in life that you found it nearly impossible to praise God? Prayer is so important in our daily lives, but sometimes we need help to know how to begin and how to focus on the good amongst the bad.
This morning, we delved into the song of praise in Psalm 145, and how it’s a reminder of who God is and how it can help us pray when we are feeling troubled and helpless.

Chaplain Chats 💬
This term we have learned that the Book of Psalms shows us that prayer is honest and real, expressing the full range of human emotion and reminding us that we can bring everything to God.
The story of Jesus with Lazarus in the book of John is a great example of these human emotions, but as we see them in Jesus. As we see the emotions in Jesus we see that God understands suffering.
Join our Chaplain as she reflects on the shortest verse in the Bible and how important it is in recognising who God is and how we can go to Him in times of need and suffering.
Chaplain Chats - A God who understands suffering - Kennedy Baptist College

Our Design & Technologies classes are a hands-on way for students to explore creativity and craftmanship while developing real-world skills.
To start off their skills in the craft, our Year 8 students continue their woodworking journey by building detailed toy cars and trucks. Year 9s stepped up to craft wooden boxes with sliding lids, experimenting with a range of materials. These are the first of three major projects the students will complete throughout the year. We are so excited to see what they make next!
These projects are just one of the ways our Technologies Learning Area provides engaging, practical learning that inspires students to develop their skills and passions. Stay tuned as the senior-level students begin to expand their skills by exploring large furniture pieces and incorporating resin pouring.

At Kennedy, we celebrate students who pursue excellence with courage, humanity and determination, and this season, Vihaan has done exactly that.
As part of the College’s Specialist Cricket Program, Vihaan has made an exceptional start to his cricket journey, proudly representing both 7A Kennedy and the First XI team. Competing in Year 7 cricket this season, he delivered remarkable performances across four matches, scoring three half-centuries, not out, and an impressive century off 74 balls.
Vihaan has also embraced the challenge of competing at a higher level, contributing 50 runs to the First XI team and becoming the youngest student ever selected for the First XI squad — a significant milestone that reflects his dedication, discipline and passion for the game.
His continued effort and commitment have earned him selection to represent Kennedy Baptist College in the Under 12s State Cricket Team, with the squad set to travel to Newcastle, NSW, later this year. This marks his second consecutive year competing at state level, following his experience in Ballarat in 2025.
Reflecting on the season, Vihaan recognised the challenge of facing some of the strongest school cricket players and bowlers. Through resilience, perseverance, and hard work, he adapted successfully and continued to perform at a high level, demonstrating the character and excellence we value at Kennedy.
We are incredibly proud of Vihaan and look forward to watching his continued success within our Specialist Cricket Program and beyond.

We are incredibly proud of our athletes who participated in the 2026 ACC Interschool Cross Country!
All students raced with spirit, competing against nearly 400 participants in each category. Our teams delivered several impressive results, with a few Kennedy students achieving fantastic results, including Kyan W, who finished impressively in fifth place in the U15 Boys category, and Milla J and Lucy M, who both delivered outstanding performances by finishing in the Top 25 of their races.
It was a great day filled with competition, a light rain shower, community, food vans and vibrant energy! The Kennedy students confidently supported their teammates, representing the College with integrity and sportsmanship. The determination and resilience of our athletes, along with our dedicated staff, fostered a great sense of camaraderie within the school team and throughout the carnival.
We eagerly anticipate the ongoing achievements from our Kennedy students!
