Hello Anatomy lovers. We are excited to host our annual Edible Embryology event at the Veterinary Anatomy Museum. We would be delighted if you could join us to view the displays and vote for your favourite. Viewing will commence at 10:30am and conclude at 11am, at which point the edible displays will be eaten. From ancient mummies to modern medical marvels, delve into the fascinating (and sometimes grisly) history of anatomy at the Museum of Antiquities Public Seminar with special guest Ryan Harris, UNE’s Senior Technical Officer in Human Anatomy.

🗓 Date: Thursday, March 20, 2025
📍 Location: A2 Lecture Theatre, Arts Building, UNE Armidale
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

With 15 years of experience, Ryan oversees UNE’s body donor program and anatomy lab. His expertise spans embalming, dissection, and anatomy education, and he expresses his passion through public speaking and even body painting.

This mature-audience seminar explores how societies have studied the human body, covering; graverobbing, decomposition, medical breakthroughs, and ethical debates. Expect historical images and real-life case studies.
