Good news, Murdoch students! Parking at the Perth campus will be FREE in designated Green Zone parking areas during the Semester 1 exam period from Monday 8 June to Friday 19 June 2026.

✅ Free parking for students in Green Zones only
✅ No permit fees required during the exam period
⚠️ Please park responsibly — parking in ACROD bays, reserved/service bays, or on verges may result in an infringement.

Important parking updates:
• Car Park 7 – Green Zone parking
• Car Park 8 – Red Zone permit parking only
• Car Park 8a – Yellow Reserved Zone bays

We know exam season can be stressful, so we hope this makes getting to campus a little easier. Best of luck with your exams, and remember to allow plenty of time to find a parking spot before your exam starts!

🌧️ How was your long weekend, everyone? Did you manage to stay warm, dry, and get some well-deserved rest? 💙

Before the wild weather rolled in, we wrapped up an amazing Stress Less Fest last Thursday! ✨

Over 300 cups of instant noodles were given away 🍜, students kicked back in our free massage chairs 💆, and many got creative at our candle-making workshop 🕯️. It was the perfect opportunity to take a break, recharge, and connect with friends before the long weekend.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so special. Whether you grabbed some noodles, relaxed in a massage chair, made your own candle, or simply stopped by to say hello, we loved seeing so many of you taking time to look after yourselves and each other.

We hope you had a great long weekend despite the windy and rainy weather, and that you're feeling refreshed and ready for the weeks ahead. ☔💨

Murdoch University is currently seeking student representatives to join a new Working Group focused on addressing Student Financial Hardship and Food Insecurity across our campus community.

This working group, established by the Student Experience Committee (SEC), will help investigate current student challenges, recommend practical initiatives, and support strategies that improve student wellbeing, retention, and success at Murdoch.

We encourage students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to express their interest, including:

• Domestic students
• International students
• First Nations students
• Undergraduate students
• Postgraduate students
• HDR students
• Mandurah Campus students

The University also welcomes representation from students with lived experience of Disability, Neurodiversity, Chronic Illness, Parents and Carers, people of diverse Sexes, Sexualities and Genders, as well as students from Regional, Rural and Remote communities, young people (18–25), and older people (65+).

Committee members are expected to contribute approximately 25 hours per year.

If you are interested in helping shape meaningful support for students at Murdoch, submit a short self-nomination outlining your interest, the cohort/s you represent (if comfortable sharing), and what you hope to contribute to the working group.

💉 FREE Flu Vaccinations Available Now at Murdoch University! 💉

Protect yourself this flu season with a FREE influenza vaccination available for all domestic and international students. The Department of Health recommends getting vaccinated during May and June, and Murdoch University Medical Service is here to make it easy with dedicated flu clinics running from May 4 through to early June, while stocks last.

📍 Flu vaccine-only appointments are available:
🕣 Monday to Friday
⏰ 8:30am – 9:30am

Bookings can be made online through the Flu Vaccine Clinic or via the MU Medical Service by selecting the “Flu Vaccine Clinic” option.
