Murdoch University is currently seeking student representatives to join a new Working Group focused on addressing Student Financial Hardship and Food Insecurity across our campus community.

This working group, established by the Student Experience Committee (SEC), will help investigate current student challenges, recommend practical initiatives, and support strategies that improve student wellbeing, retention, and success at Murdoch.

We encourage students from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to express their interest, including:

• Domestic students
• International students
• First Nations students
• Undergraduate students
• Postgraduate students
• HDR students
• Mandurah Campus students

The University also welcomes representation from students with lived experience of Disability, Neurodiversity, Chronic Illness, Parents and Carers, people of diverse Sexes, Sexualities and Genders, as well as students from Regional, Rural and Remote communities, young people (18–25), and older people (65+).

Committee members are expected to contribute approximately 25 hours per year.

If you are interested in helping shape meaningful support for students at Murdoch, submit a short self-nomination outlining your interest, the cohort/s you represent (if comfortable sharing), and what you hope to contribute to the working group.

💉 FREE Flu Vaccinations Available Now at Murdoch University! 💉

Protect yourself this flu season with a FREE influenza vaccination available for all domestic and international students. The Department of Health recommends getting vaccinated during May and June, and Murdoch University Medical Service is here to make it easy with dedicated flu clinics running from May 4 through to early June, while stocks last.

📍 Flu vaccine-only appointments are available:
🕣 Monday to Friday
⏰ 8:30am – 9:30am

Bookings can be made online through the Flu Vaccine Clinic or via the MU Medical Service by selecting the “Flu Vaccine Clinic” option.
