Book Week, Athletics Carnivals, a Zoo Excursion, and two weeks of swimming lessons... it's fair to say we've had a busy but fantastic three weeks! I think everyone is looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

Next week promises to be just as exciting. We have the Room 4 Showcase Assembly on Monday afternoon, the Kindy and Pre-Primary Athletics Carnival on Wednesday, and our Interschool Athletics Carnival at Forrestdale PS on Friday.

With our distance running, jumping and throwing events now completed, we are excited for tomorrow’s Faction Athletics Carnival. Will Mead continue its dominance, or is it time for Wallace or Patterson to rise to the occasion? Join us on the oval tomorrow to find out and cheer on our students as they have fun and battle it out.

This week, we have been celebrating Book Week and shining a light on the joy of reading. Tuesday morning’s dress-up parade was a tremendous success, with almost all students and every staff member getting into the spirit of the celebration. The children thoroughly enjoyed showcasing their costumes as they paraded in front of the school community and more than 200 guests. Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make it such a memorable occasion.

Athletics Carnival Day 1
We are planning to complete as many of the distance running, jumping and throwing events as possible tomorrow, Wednesday 26 August. Any events that cannot be completed due to the forecast rain will be rescheduled for Thursday, commencing at 11:30 am.

📢 Athletics Carnival - Day 1: Distance Runs, Jumps & Throws 📢

Our first Athletics Carnival event day will be held on Wednesday, 26 August from 9:00am, featuring our Distance Runs, Jumps and Throws events.
Students selected to participate will receive a note outlining the events they have been selected for, along with a schedule of events for the day.
If you are available to assist with measuring or recording results on the day, please let Mr Wilson or the front office know. Any assistance from our parent community is greatly appreciated 😊
Further details regarding our Faction Athletics Carnival for Year 1 to Year 6 students, to be held on Friday, 28 August, will be shared with families later this week.
