A taste of what to expect in this Friday's 'Wide Mixes that work in Mono' workshop.
In the 2nd video about stereo mixing, I'm looking at the #01 YouTube stereo trick: Haas Delay - and I'll show what most YouTube videos won't tell you: the terrible damage Haas delays cause to your mix when listeners hear it in mono. And that happens often; on bluetooth speakers, iPhones, boomboxes and many, many club PAs.
And of course I'll share as many solutions as I can fit into a 10min video, such as mixing chunky, wide rhythm guitars, and how to keep lead guitars mono centred with lots of width coming from effects.
º 100% down-to-earth mixing skills
º 100% ear-led mixing
º 0% plugin hype
Everything I share can be applied in a large range of contexts and genres: from EDM to metal, from synth pads to vocal stacks.
