Our 20-year celebration was made even more special thanks to the wonderful support of our local community.
A heartfelt thank you to Kidzklub Australia for keeping our big and little children smiling, laughing, and entertained throughout the day. Your team created such a fun atmosphere, and it was lovely seeing so many happy faces.
A sincere thank you also to the Brunswick Mullumbimby Lions Club for providing a delicious BBQ for our families and educators. Your generosity and willingness to support local community events is truly appreciated.
Days like these remind us how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring and connected community. Thank you to everyone who helped make our celebration such a memorable occasion—we couldn't have done it without you. ❤️

When Sharon and Tim Waerne got a call from Sharon’s dad telling them that there was a local child care centre for sale in Mullumbimby it seemed like the perfect time to move home for Sharon and bring the family with her.

HAROLD'S BIG FEELINGS Healthy Harold at Cobbers Child Care Centre
The educational incursion focuses on four core pillars:
Emotional Literacy: Naming and noticing feelings like happiness, anger, frustration, and worry.
Emotional Regulation: Recognizing "body clues" (like a racing heart or shaky hands) and learning calming strategies.
Friendship and Connection: Practicing social skills, sharing, and learning how to be a supportive peer.
Help Seeking: Encouraging children to identify and talk to a trusted adult when their feelings get too overwhelming

We had an incredibly exciting and educational day at Cobbers Child Care Centre, Ditto Bravehearts came to visit, and the children had a wonderful time learning about body safety.
Through fun, interactive songs and lively storytelling, Ditto taught us important life lessons in a way that was easy to understand and not scary at all.
What the children learned today:
Safe vs. Unsafe Feelings: Recognizing body clues like tummy butterflies.
Yes and No Secrets: Understanding which secrets are okay to keep.
The Helping Hand: Identifying trusted adults to talk to.
Body Ownership: Learning that their bodies belong to them.
Keep the conversation going at home:
Your child might be singing some of Ditto's catchy safety songs today! Ask them about their favourite part of the show to help reinforce these vital safety messages at home. You can also find great follow-up activities and tips on the Bravehearts website.

Special Visitors: Storytime with Hinterland Christian College!
We had some very special guests at our centre today. The wonderful Kindy and Year 1 students from Hinterland Christian College came to visit our Dingo group for a morning of storytelling and friendship.
The Kindy and Year 1 children from Hinterland Christian College shared a very special experience, they read a book close to their hearts: "What Lies Beneath the Surface?". This wonderful story was entirely written and illustrated by the talented children themselves.
The Dingoes listened intently as the young authors brought their words and drawings to life. Seeing the pride on the children's faces while sharing their own creation was truly magical.
Following the reading, the children all enjoyed playing together inside the centre. This was a fantastic way to strengthen our relationships and connect our community.
