Keeping chickens in your backyard can be fun and easy. In our one day workshop on March 9th 2024, you will learn how chooks eat our kitchen scraps, will happily scratch up most weeds, seeds and grubs as well as give us eggs plus manure for our gardens. The workshop also covers every-day care, feeding, popular breeds, problem solving and housing questions you may have. On Saturday March 16th at you can take part in our one day workshop to learn how you can design, establish and care for your own tree based food production system in a low maintenance fashion that works with nature's fundamental processes of land and soil repair. You'll discover a huge array of fruit and nut trees from around the world that thrive in our warm, subtropical climate including indigenous bush foods. The gardens host a wonderful array of community events, play spaces, creative workshops, all inclusive meals, gatherings, working bees and much more.
