Spotlight Series | Dan Lake (Class of 2001) 🎬

This edition of our Spotlight Series celebrates Somerset College alumnus Dan Lake (Class of 2001), whose career has taken him from the Gold Coast to the forefront of Australia's film and television industry.

As Co-Founder and Executive Producer at Orange Entertainment Co, Dan has played an integral role in developing and producing acclaimed screen projects that have captivated audiences across the country. His impressive portfolio includes AUDREY (2024), now streaming on Netflix, and the highly anticipated The Animal Sanctuary (2026), set to premiere on Channel 10.

Dan's journey is a wonderful example of where passion, creativity, and determination can lead. We are incredibly proud to see him continuing to make his mark on the Australian entertainment landscape and inspiring the next generation of storytellers.

What a wonderful evening we had last Saturday night at the Somerset College Sydney Alumni Social 🎉🥂✨

Joined by Headmaster Chris Ivey, Deputy Heads Michele Sauer and Allison Foster, and 25 past students spanning from graduating years of 2008 to 2025, the night was one to remember.

The Brooksy Bar located in the Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney made for the perfect location, with an exquisite range of cocktails, canapés and exceptional service on offer.

To all our alumni who managed to make it to the event, thank you. We loved hearing your stories and catching up on the years past. To all the alumni who didn’t, we hope to see you at the next one!

Over the weekend, we travelled to Melbourne to host our annual Alumni Social event at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins.

It was a truly special evening reconnecting with Somerset College alumni, both familiar faces and those we were meeting again after many years. We loved hearing about the incredible journeys, achievements, and experiences our graduates have enjoyed since leaving Somerset College.

We're already looking forward to doing it all again in Sydney this weekend!

👠 Spotlight Series: Larni Kollander (Class of 2004)👠

We are proud to celebrate Somerset College alumna Larni Kollander, who is now Global Head of Creative Strategy at H&M. With more than 15 years of experience in branding, design and communications, Larni has helped shape the global identity of one of the world's most recognised fashion brands.

Having held leadership roles across H&M Group, R/GA and M&C Saatchi, Larni's career is a testament to the power of creativity, strategic thinking and global ambition. We are delighted to see a Somerset graduate making such a significant impact on the international stage.

Alumni Spotlight | Lachlan Cameron (Class of 2009) 🏡

From Somerset College student to successful business owner, it's been wonderful to watch Lockie's journey unfold.

As the founder of Cameron Building & Design, Lockie has built a business known for creating beautiful homes and transforming spaces across the Gold Coast.

Since establishing the company in 2017, he and his team have delivered a diverse range of residential and commercial projects, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship.

For anyone considering a new build, renovation or extension, Cameron Building & Design is an alumni business we'd highly recommend.
