Early literacy starts long before a child picks up a pencil. ✏️

In our genuine Montessori prepared environment, children choose activities that capture their interest. Their educator thoughtfully prepares experiences that meet them where they are, helping them develop skills at their own pace.

The learning may look like play. Every small movement has a purpose.

“Will this one stick?” 🧲

She’s three. She has a magnet, a collection of objects and a question she can answer for herself.

She tests. Sorts. Tries again. Her educator has prepared the activity and is there to guide her, while giving her the time and space to follow her thinking without unnecessary interruption.

That’s the Montessori difference: purposeful materials, thoughtful guidance and the freedom to concentrate, explore and discover.

It’s a little long to scroll through every part of the conversation but to understand why we do what we do and why we are so fussy about it this worth the read

“Montessori aligned” and Montessori in practice can look very different.

A name or a marketing promise can spark your interest. What matters most is what your child experiences each day.

When you visit a service, look around. Can children choose meaningful work and spend time with it? Are materials within their reach? Do educators observe, guide and give children room to do things for themselves?

At Gold Coast Montessori Child Care & Kindergarten, these are the everyday practices behind our promise. For 20 years, we’ve been proud to share genuine Montessori education with Mudgeeraba families.

Come and see it for yourself. 💙

✨ 2027 ENROLMENTS ARE NOW OPEN ✨

If the Toy Story version of childcare is not what you’re looking for, perhaps Montessori is the better choice for your child.

At Gold Coast Montessori, children certainly play—but their days offer so much more.

They enter calm, thoughtfully prepared classrooms where they learn to concentrate, make choices, solve problems and care for themselves, one another and their environment.

This is purposeful learning.
Real materials. Real experiences.
Growing independence.
Qualified educators who understand how young children learn.
And preparation not only for school—but for life.

If you’re looking for childcare with depth, intention and a genuine educational philosophy behind it, we would love to introduce you to Montessori.

🌊 Exploring Our Oceans at Gold Coast Montessori 🐢⭐

Throughout August, our children have been diving into the wonderful world of Oceans.

Across the service, they have explored waves and water, marine animals and habitats, ocean safety and the incredible ecosystems beneath the surface.

In true Montessori style, learning has been hands-on, purposeful and connected to the real world — giving children opportunities to touch, observe, question, investigate and discover for themselves.

A very special part of our learning was a visit from Ocean Life Education, who brought the ocean right into our classrooms! 🐢⭐ The children were able to meet and gently interact with marine animals, turning everything they had been learning into a wonderful real-life experience.

These are the moments we love — when a topic moves beyond books and pictures and becomes something a child can see, touch, experience and understand. 💙
