On Tuesday, 26th May, Mudgee High students took part in the ‘Studies in Sustainability’ event hosted by the Country Universities Centre Mudgee Region in partnership with UTS.
Students joined interactive sessions with experts including Dr. Milena Bojovic, UTS lecturer in Sustainability and Environment, and Amanda Choy, sustainability consultant for small to medium businesses. They explored how sustainable practices are applied in real-world settings and examined the impact of sustainability on various industries.
Throughout the morning, students discussed major current sustainability challenges and worked together to design their own sustainable cities of the future. They also explored numerous career and study pathways where sustainability plays a key role.
This inspiring event highlighted the importance of sustainability in all fields and encouraged our students to think creatively about their role in building a greener future. Thank you to the Country Universities Centre and UTS for this valuable experience!
