Photos of students can only be published if the correct Department of Education permission to publish forms have been completed by the student’s parent or guardian. For privacy and protection, please do not tag photos of children, and please do not name them in your comments, unless the previously mentioned permissions are sought. On rare occasions and with parental permission, students may be named by the school Facebook administration team. Tagging of parents or friends within the comment box is permitted with the understanding that all other rules of engagement are followed. Comments:

Maddy Toohey and Monique Bateman travelled to Glendale recently to compete in the CHS Gymnastics Championship. They competed in the WAG level 4 division, achieving some commendable results:

Maddy Toohey - 10th Overall - 1st on floor

15's Netball – Orange Gala Day
An incredible day for our 15's Netball team at Orange on Friday August 14.
The girls had an outstanding day, winning 5 out of 5 games throughout the competition. They fought hard and played some fantastic netball, making it through to the semi-finals before losing to Orange, and then finishing the day with a loss to Parkes in the final.
More importantly, the girls represented our school with amazing school pride, sportsmanship and respect throughout the entire day. We could not be prouder of the way they supported one another and conducted themselves both on and off the court.
Well done girls! You should all be incredibly proud of your efforts.

# # # State Finals Success 🥉🏉

Last week, our Open Girls Touch Football team travelled to Tuggerah to compete at the State Finals. After a few wet years, it was great to see the rain stay away, with perfect conditions for touch football! ☀️

The girls opened their campaign against Kooringal HS. They unfortunately started slowly, but showed plenty of fight and managed to scrape through with a 2–1 victory.

A much-improved performance in the next round saw the girls defeat Cronulla HS 10–4 before facing Hunter Sports HS in their final game of Day 1. In a high-quality and tightly contested match, the game went down to the wire, with Hunter eventually taking the win 4–3.

Day 2 began with a must-win clash against Westfields Sports HS. The girls rose to the occasion with a strong performance, securing a 5–2 victory and booking their place in the semi-finals against Endeavour Sports HS.

The semi-final was an absolute thriller! After 30 minutes, neither team could be separated, forcing the match into a 4v4 drop-off. Unfortunately, Endeavour managed to score near the end of extra time to take the win.

Despite the heartbreaking finish, congratulations to all of our players on an incredible effort and an amazing 3rd-place finish in the state! 🥉👏

We are incredibly proud of the way you represented our school, showing determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. 💙

A big thank you also to Charlie Gallen, who travelled along and did a fantastic job refereeing at the carnival. 👏

Be the “I” in KIND

During Anti-Bullying Week, our school community has focused on being “the I in KIND.” These photos capture students and staff stepping into the word KIND as a reminder that kindness begins with each one of us. Being kind might seem like a small thing, but a friendly smile, an encouraging word, including someone who feels left out, or simply checking in can make a huge difference to another person’s day. Kindness shouldn’t be something we practise for just one week—it should be part of who we are every day. We all have the power to make our school a place where people feel safe, valued, respected and included. There is always room to be kinder, so choose to be the “I” in KIND.

Snow trip - days 2 and 3

Our Year 10 students have worked incredibly hard while on their ski trip, making impressive progress as they learned to ski and snowboard. They have been fantastic representatives of our school, demonstrating outstanding behaviour, application and effort throughout the trip.

Under 15s basketball

Our under 15s girls and boys basketball teams have been competing in the Western Region CHS Championships held in Dubbo and Bathurst this month.

The girls team was, unfortunately, knocked out in the first carnival in Dubbo.
The boys team was more successful, winning the grand final in Dubbo, which allowed them to compete in Bathurst and place among the top 4 schools in Western Region.

Well done, both teams.

Thank you, Hunter McGrath, for helping with coaching, and Mr Murphy for driving the bus and supervising the carnivals.
