ALADDIN | The magic is almost here! Our Grade 5 students are getting ready to take you on an adventure with Aladdin, and you won’t want to miss it!

After months of rehearsals, creativity and hard work, our students are excited to share their production with family, friends and our wider Grammar community.

FOOTLOOSE | And just like that, our Footloose journey has come to an end.

What an incredible week it has been, with more than 3,000 people joining us at the Albert Hall Launceston to experience the energy, talent and spirit of our students.

A huge thank you to every student who took to the stage, played in the band, worked backstage or contributed in countless other ways. Your commitment, creativity and enthusiasm made this production something truly special.

To our incredible staff and production team, and to the families who supported our students every step of the way, thank you! Productions like this take a community, and Footloose was certainly a team effort.

And finally, to our wonderful audience, thank you for buying tickets, filling the Albert Hall and cheering us on. Your support means so much to our students and everyone involved.

Our students gave it their all across the track and field, showing plenty of House spirit and encouragement for one another throughout the day.

FOOTLOOSE – OPENS TOMORROW | Don’t miss your chance to get to know these lovable (and not so lovable) characters!

Meet Rusty and Willard, played by Eliza and Lenny. She’s quick-talking, sweet and not afraid to make the first move; he’s a good-hearted country boy with two left feet. Together, they’re one of Footloose’s sweetest (and funniest) pairings. 💛

Then there’s Bomont’s resident bad boys, Chuck, Lyle and Travis, played by Gabe, Alex and Fletcher. Led by Ariel’s less-than-charming boyfriend Chuck, they’re doing their best to make life difficult for newcomer Ren.

FOOTLOOSE – 2 DAYS TO GO | It takes a whole town to make Footloose, and Bomont certainly has some characters!

Meet Lulu and Wes Warnicker, played by Shaneli and Tommy; Roger and Eleanor Dunbar, played by Sol and Molly; Principal Clark, played by Arlo; our Police Officer, played by Dante; and Betty Blast, played by Grace.

From concerned parents and town authorities to the larger-than-life owner of the local burger joint, they’re the people Ren must win over, one dance step at a time.

FOOTLOOSE – OPENS WEDNESDAY | Meet Vi and Reverend Shaw Moore, played by Kathryn and Keni.

At the heart of Bomont is a family still dealing with the weight of the past. Shaw is the town’s strict and deeply protective preacher, while Vi is the warmth and reason beside him, quietly pushing him to listen, understand and let go.

Ethel McCormack is Ren’s mum, played by Hannah. She’s fiercely supportive of her son and doing her best to help them both find their feet in a town that isn’t ready for change.

And saddle up for Cowboy Bob and Cowgirl Dolly as they bring a little country fun and flair to the stage!

Meet Wendy Jo, Urleen and Daisy, played by Lydia, Lilian and Bridie, Ariel’s fiercely loyal, hilariously outspoken girl gang, bringing plenty of attitude, energy and harmonies to Bomont. They’re holding out for a hero and watching every move! 💃

And let’s hear it for the boys! Say howdy to Garvin, Bickle and Jeter, played by Jack, Anton and Quinn, Willard’s loyal crew of small-town mates, always ready with questionable advice and plenty of laughs. 🤠

BOOK WEEK PARADE | Today, students and staff celebrated Book Week with an incredible showcase of creativity, imagination and some very clever costumes!

From beloved classics to contemporary favourites, it was fantastic to see so many getting into the spirit of the day and bringing their most cherished stories to life.

FOOTLOOSE – ONE WEEK TO GO | What’s a show without a leading man and lady?

Meet Ren and Ariel, played by Piers and Luwanna. Ren is the city kid determined to shake up Bomont, while Ariel is the preacher’s daughter who knows there’s a much bigger world beyond her small town. Neither are particularly good at following the rules.
