Wow! So today I was supposed to be putting up a post, letting people know what spots I have available. But since my last post, I've had quite a few people come forward enquiring about lessons. Happy to say that nearly all my spots have been filled up now! Thankyou so much! 😁🥳

However there is still only ONE remaining spot left - and it is on Fridays from 3:30pm (ONLINE ONLY).
It'll be a first in, first served kinda thing. So if you want it, you better come n' get it, otherwise you'll have to wait until the next round of enrolments (which won't be til Term 2).

🎉🎉 Exciting News! 🎉🎉

As of January 2026, we will be introducing a new way of doing your guitar lessons! As well as the usual face-to-face lessons, you will also now have the option to do your lessons ONLINE, right from the comfort of very own home! 🏡🎸🎶

Unlike face-to-face lessons, online lessons are much more flexible when it comes to choosing a day/time that suits you. Not only can you do them from the comfort of your own home, but you can also do them from anywhere in Australia, on any device (as long as there is good internet connection 😉)!

If you are one of those people who have been thinking about doing lessons for a long time, but haven't been able to commit to the idea due to time, distance, or any other reasons, then doing your lessons online may be a good option for you!

Here is a list of criteria that students will need to meet, in order for them to be eligible for online lessons:

✅️ If you are a busy Mum or Dad who takes care of young, below school-aged children and can't leave the house for lessons
✅️ If you are a busy individual that works long/irregular hours during the week eg. Shift workers
✅️ If you live more than 50km away from where all the lessons are held (Moura)
✅️ You'd prefer to do your lessons at home due to other personal reasons, eg. Health (either physical or mental), safety, etc.

💰 Online lessons are also done at a slightly cheaper rate than in-person lessons

Topic 7: Practicing with a metronome – why timing matters more than speed.

⏱ Practicing with a Metronome

A lot of musicians rush into playing fast, but here’s the truth: timing > speed.

1. Why it matters

Speed without control = sloppy.

Good timing = groove, flow, and confidence.

Even pros practice slow with a metronome before speeding up.

2. How to practice

Start slow (e.g., 60 BPM).

Play cleanly with every note locked to the click.

Only increase tempo when it feels effortless.

3. Metronome hacks

Put the click on beats 2 & 4 (jazz/rock feel).

Put the click on just beat 1 (forces you to internalize rhythm).

Randomly mute the metronome for 2–4 bars → test your inner timing.

4. Mindset

Practicing slow is not weakness—it’s building muscle memory.

If you can’t play it slow correctly, you can’t play it fast correctly.

✨ Accuracy first. Speed comes as a reward.
