Do you feel like NO matter the effort you make, they usually go unnoticed? YOU'RE 👏 NOT 👏 ALONE 👏
I have been a Private Tutor & Piano Teacher for over 5 years now 📚🎹 and let me tell you, I have lost count of the amount of times over the years I felt completely underappreciated by my students, and sometimes even the parents.
They don't see the amount of time ⌚️ I put into planning every lesson, tailoring it to their specific and individual learnings & interests. I feel especially this way when I try very hard to make our lesson 'fun', sometimes even going out and buying rescources particular to THAT student, and it's so obvious the whole time they are wishing it was over 😞 It's hard because I DO care.
I get it though, some kids just don't like the piano and their parent wants them to try, FAIR 👌 Most of my tutoring students HATE school and are reluctant to learning, so doing even MORE learning 'sucks', FAIR 👌
I have definitely learned to acknowledge that view point and even understand it. But when my student says, "OH! I get it now!" 🤯 or "Did you hear me play that?!" 😁 or even just "Thanks for teaching me today," 🙃 ...........
...it makes it ALL WORTH IT 👏❤️
