Congratulations to our SRC (lead by Mrs Fisher) for organising a very successful Casual Clothes Day. We raised $450 for the Red Shield Appeal. Thanks to our community for their support!

Issue #9

On Monday our school was awarded with the Silver Award for School-Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS). SWPBS is important in primary schools because it helps create a safe, respectful and positive learning environment where students clearly understand behavioural expectations and are supported to make good choices. Achieving the Silver Award recognises SSPS’s commitment to these practices, demonstrating that positive behaviour support systems are well established, consistently implemented and making a positive impact on students, staff and families.

That’s a wrap on our Year 3/4 Swimming Program for this year! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ A huge thank you to all of our parent helpers who assisted with walking students to and from the pool. Well done to all of our swimmers for their enthusiasm, effort and the improvement they showed in developing their swimming skills throughout the program. 👏🌟

Year 3 students have been learning how ‘to persuade’. They viewed lots of different advertisements and analysed their purpose, audience and persuasive techniques. They then created their own ad complete with a slogan. Students also used their digital technology skills to photoshop their ad onto a background image. Super effort Year 3!

On Friday, we celebrated the end of Education Week with a lovely open afternoon. Our students enjoyed playing some maths games with their special visitors. 🎲🎲
