Waverley Community Learning Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cooking Tutor to deliver our Food & Stories community project in 2027.
About Food & Stories
Food & Stories is a community program that brings residents together through cooking, shared meals, and storytelling. The program aims to create opportunities for people to connect, build friendships, celebrate cultural diversity, and develop meaningful connections in a warm and inclusive environment.
The Role
We are looking for a tutor who can:
๐ฉโ๐ณ Facilitate engaging and inclusive cooking sessions
๐ฝ๏ธ Share cooking knowledge and skills with participants from diverse backgrounds
๐ Encourage cultural exchange through food and storytelling
๐ค Create a welcoming environment that supports social connection and participation
Program Details

Term 1, 2027: 7 weeks (1 February โ 25 March 2027)

Term 2, 2027: 8 weeks (12 April โ 4 June 2027)

About You
We are looking for someone with:

Experience delivering cooking programs
โ
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
โ
Experience working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
โ
A passion for bringing people together through food and shared experiences
โ
Current Food Handler Certificate (essential)
โ
Current National Police Check and Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain both before commencing)
