🐶💙💛 PRE-PREP PUPPIES TOMORROW! 💛💙🐶

Another Pre-Prep Puppies morning is almost here, and we’re excited to welcome our little learners back to St Bernard State School tomorrow!

We’ve loved watching our Prep 2027 cohort become more comfortable and confident with each session — exploring the Prep classroom, getting to know our staff and beginning to make new friends along the way. 🐾🎒

And there’s always room for some new Puppies! If your child is starting Prep in 2027 and you’re still exploring your schooling options, you’re very welcome to come along and see what St Bernard State School is all about. Your child does not need to be enrolled at our school to participate.

🎁💙💛 FATHER’S DAY STALL – TOMORROW! 💛💙🎁

Our annual Father’s Day Stall is on tomorrow, Wednesday 2 September, giving our students the opportunity to choose a special gift for Dad, Grandad or another important person in their life. 🎁💙

A quick reminder for families that this year we are trialling pre-paid vouchers through Flexischools, while still accepting cash on the day.

📱 Pre-paid vouchers are available through Flexischools until 8:00am tomorrow morning.

🎟️ Students who have a pre-paid voucher will receive it as they enter the stall, and our wonderful volunteers will be there to help them choose gifts up to the value of their voucher.

Please remember: No change can be given from pre-paid vouchers, so we encourage students to choose gifts as close as possible to the full voucher value.

🎢💙💛 DREAMWORLD EXCURSION – PERMISSION FORMS & PAYMENTS DUE SOON! 💛💙🎢

A quick reminder for our Prep–Year 2 and Year 6 families that permission forms and payments for our upcoming Dreamworld excursion are due by Tuesday 8 September.

📋 Please ensure your child’s permission form has been returned and payment finalised by the due date.

If you have already returned your form and completed payment, no further action is required.

📐💙💛 HANDS-ON MATHS IN 5/6O! 💛💙📐

There’s no better way to practise a new skill than by getting hands-on with our learning!

Our 5/6O students arrived in class to discover that Mrs O’Toole had been busy placing strips of tape across their desks, creating lots of different angles ready to be measured. Their challenge was to use their protractors accurately to measure each angle and put their new skills into practice. 📏📐

Once they had completed their measuring, students recorded their results on SeeSaw, providing another way for them to demonstrate and share their learning. 💻✨

A big thank you to our wonderful P&C for funding our SeeSaw subscription for another year. Their support allows our students to access different learning platforms and gives them a variety of ways to engage with and showcase their learning. 💙💛

𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 🚨
Today our school carried out a scheduled evacuation drill as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our students and staff safe.
Everyone did a fantastic job, with students and staff responding calmly, following instructions, and moving quickly and safely to our designated assembly area. We are incredibly proud of the way our school community approached this important practice.
Regular drills help ensure that we are prepared for a range of situations and provide valuable opportunities to practise our safety procedures.
Thank you to everyone for working together to help keep our school a safe and prepared place for all. 💙🏫

🌈 LET’S SLIME MRS BIRCH! 🪣💚

We all know Mrs Birch loves a challenge, but most of all, she loves our school! 💙💛 So, in the lead-up to our Colour Fun Run, she has bravely offered to GET SLIMED — but we need your help to make it happen!

🎯 Our target is $2,500… and we’re already a THIRD of the way there! 🙌

Once we hit $2,500, TWO students who have raised at least $20 will be randomly drawn to have the very special honour of sliming Mrs Birch! 🪣💚😆

A huge THANK YOU to all the families who have already set up profiles, shared them with family and friends, and started fundraising. Every dollar raised helps support our students and our school.
