I’m incredibly honoured (and stunned) to share that my painting, ‘Held’, has been selected as a finalist in this year’s Lester Prize.
is one of Australia’s most respected portrait awards, so this means more to me than I can say.
A huge thank you to everyone who has encouraged me along the way: my family, friends, fellow artists, students, and everyone who has followed and supported my work over the years.

A very special thank you to my beautiful friend Yana for trusting me to paint such a personal moment of Jaya.

Congratulations to all of the finalists. I can’t wait to see the exhibition and celebrate everyone’s incredible work.

I’ve had a bit of a break from doing arty parties recently, so it was lovely to get back into it today with a delightful small group of girls and some donut paintings. If you know someone who’d like an art activity at their next party - get in touch!

For our final After School Art Club for Term 2 I had students select a paintbox and make a still life drawing of the object before using the paints to paint their drawing! Once again, all the different personalities really came out through their work. If you are interested in your child joining one of my classes in Term 3, enrolments are now open on the website!

WHAT AMELiA WORE - PART 1.
This is my student, Amelia. Every week I feel like videoing her entrance to the studio because she goes out of her way to be absolutely spectacular. She loves an op shop find as much as I do and if it’s not extra enough for her she loves to paint, glue, bead etc her clothes and shoes until they are. Were you anywhere near as cool as this kid when you were young? I wasn’t. She’s also a funny, kind girl who we all love to be around!
