Sometimes the smallest moments make the biggest difference.
As part of our Educators’ Day celebration, we would love to hear from our families about the educators who make a difference to your child and family.
Perhaps they helped your child feel safe on a difficult morning, celebrated a milestone, made them laugh, listened when you needed someone, or simply made your family feel like you belong.

Our Kinders spent the morning at Forest School today doing what our children do best -getting muddy, taking risks, bum sliding, climbing trees, fishing in the creek and swinging from money vines. Our Kinders are growing their confidence and resilience - following their curiosities and wonders in true Mount Peter style. We love our Forest School program!

The countdown to Educators’ Day has officially begun! 🌻
This year, we wanted to do something a little different to celebrate the incredible people who care for, teach, nurture and grow alongside our children every day.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be taking you back to where their stories began… 👶❤️
Each day we’ll reveal a childhood photo of one of our Mount Peter educators, along with a few clues about the person who inspired them to become the educator they are today.
✨ Can you guess who the little person is?
✨ Who do you think inspired them?
✨ How well do you really know our Mount Peter team?

Keep an eye on our display as it changes each day and have a guess!

💚 FOOD DRIVE NOW UNDERWAY! 💚

At Mount Peter Early Learning, we believe that small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

We are proud to be partnering with the Benevolent Society to help support local individuals and families in our Gordonvale community through a Food Drive.

If you're able to help, we'd love for you to pop a non-perishable food item into our collection box when you visit the centre.

Some ideas include:
🥫 Canned fruit and vegetables
🍲 Soup, spaghetti and baked beans
🥫 Canned meat and spreads
🍝 Dry pasta and pasta sauces
🥣 Breakfast cereals
🍪 Crackers
🥛 Long-life milk

Every donation, big or small, will help make a difference to someone in our local community.

🌊🦀 Kookaburras at Kewarra Beach 🦀🌊

Today our Kookaburra Kindergarten children immersed themselves in a morning of exploration, discovery, and connection at beautiful Kewarra Beach.

Through hands-on experiences in nature, the children investigated the shoreline, observed marine life, collected natural treasures, and shared their wonder with friends and educators. These rich outdoor experiences encourage curiosity, problem-solving, communication, and a deep appreciation for the natural environment.

Beach School provides endless opportunities for children to learn through play, take managed risks, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging within their local community.

There is something truly magical about watching children learn with sand between their toes, salt in the air, and endless possibilities all around them. 💙

🌊 Beach School Adventures at Kewarra Beach 🌿

What a beautiful day exploring Sea Country together. The children spent the morning discovering smooth rocks, collecting shells, building huts from palm fronds, climbing rock walls, exploring mangroves, flying kites and making endless discoveries along the shoreline.

There was so much curiosity, wonder and teamwork as the children connected with nature through play and exploration. From noticing how waves shape the rocks and sand, to discovering sea snails, mangroves and coastal wildlife, the children immersed themselves in meaningful hands-on learning experiences.

We acknowledge the Yirrganydji people, Traditional Custodians of this land and Sea Country, and thank them for caring for this beautiful place for generations. 💛

Some of the best learning happens with sandy feet, salty air and curious minds. ☀️

💚 FluMist & Flu Vaccination Clinic – Updated Booking Information 💚

TerryWhite Chemmart Edmonton will be visiting Mount Peter Early Learning on Thursday 4th June to provide FluMist vaccinations for children aged 2 years+ and traditional flu vaccinations for adults.

FluMist is a quick and gentle nasal spray vaccine administered into each nostril — no needles required for eligible children.

📲 Please see the attached poster for important information, eligibility requirements and QR booking links.

Please note:
• There are now TWO separate QR codes for bookings
• Children’s bookings are for FluMist appointments
• Adult bookings are for the traditional flu needle
• A manual consent form is also required for FluMist and will be available through the service

Parents are welcome to book in alongside their child’s appointment.
