🐾 PUPPY CONSULTS 🐾
Wow, it’s been a busy week with puppies.
I’ve had the absolute pleasure to work with such lovely owners and their new puppies via my at home puppy consults during the past week.
‘Moose’ - 8 week Cavoodle
‘Cino’ - 9 week Border Collie
‘Bear’ - 11 week Cavoodle
‘Mini’ - 10 week Lagotta x Border Collie
‘Gus’ - 8 week Cavoodle
‘Billy’ - 10 week Parsons Terrier x Dachshund
These consults are such a wonderful way to step off on the best foot with puppies.
Some owners had literally only had their pups for a day and others had them for one or two weeks when I did their consult. I would say that those who had them for a little while learned things didn’t have to be quite as difficult as it might have felt since they got their puppy home.
The biggest takeaway I feel for all owners is understanding the benefit of crate training their pup and how it can help them in so many ways.
It can feel overwhelming at times with a new pup at home and there is so much information out there on how and what to do with puppies, the do’s and dont’s but the aim of my consults are to just allay owners concerns and hopefully make things a lot easier and far less stressful.
The owners all live differently and their households are not the same, however creating some kind of consistent structure is possible for all of them to help their pups be successful.
During these consults owners are able to ask questions that they may have and maybe realise they have more once they start seeing how and what they do now is super important to raising a nice, confident, happy, content adult dog.
I wish them all well with their new family member and definitely looking forward to seeing all the pups and owners again for their 1-1 training session at my property over the coming weeks.
