📚 Week 7 of the Principal’s Challenge! 📚

Week 7 already! Where is the time going? 😲

Mr Lye has been busy out and about again this week, chatting with students and staff about their favourite books as part of Book Week. 📖

It was very interesting to hear what everyone enjoys reading — from old favourites to new discoveries. It just goes to show that there really is a book for everyone! 📚❤️

Of course, Mr Lye couldn’t let Book Week pass without getting into the spirit himself! He was spotted sporting his book-themed ties and socks throughout the week. 👔🧦📚 They certainly had students asking plenty of questions! It seems Dr. Seuss was a bit of a theme! 🟢👀
Reading broadens the mind and is a wonderful wealth of knowledge. 📖🌏 There is always something new to discover, learn or imagine when you open a book.

Mr Lye also took some time to head over to Rockhy High this week, joining other principals and teachers for a visit to see what they get up to and share ideas. It was a great opportunity to connect with other schools and see some of the fantastic things happening across our region. 👏🏫

📚BOOK WEEK 2026!📚

What an amazing Book Week we had at school this year! 🎉📖

This year, our staff got into the spirit with a Mr Men & Little Miss theme! 💙💛❤️ It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved and bringing these much-loved characters to life. 😄

But our students also outdid themselves with their amazing costumes! 👏🎭 We had the crew from Little Lunch, Thing 1 & Thing 2, a set of Crayons, the Little Green Man from Toy Story, and so many other creative and fantastic costumes! 🌈📚

It was wonderful to see our students embracing the fun of Book Week and celebrating their favourite books and characters. A huge thank you to all our staff, students and families for getting behind the day and making it such a fun and memorable celebration! ❤️

🔬🧪 A WEEK OF ALL THINGS SCIENCE! 🧪🔬

A huge thank you to Miss Beard & Mr Todd for an incredible week of science! 👏

From Ice Bucket Challenges 🧊 to exploding watermelons 🍉💥 and everything in between, our students had an action-packed week of fun, learning and plenty of exciting experiments!

Thank you for making Science Week so much fun! 🔬🧪👏

🌟 PRINCIPAL’S CHALLENGE – WEEK 6! 🌟

Another BIG week at Mount Morgan State High School! 💙💛

🔬 Science Week has been full of excitement, curiosity and a few spectacular experiments! Our students had a blast with EXPLODING WATERMELONS 🍉💥 and took part in an Ice Bucket Challenge 🧊🥶 to support our school’s Science Ambassador, Corey!

There were plenty of laughs, lots of learning and a very wet and cold, science ambassador! 😂🧊

We were also very fortunate to welcome Minister for Education John-Paul Langbroek, Member for Mirani Glen Kelly, and The Regional Director, Sue Dalton to our school. It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the fantastic things happening at Mount Morgan High and discuss the opportunities ahead for our students and school community. 👏

A huge thank you to our amazing staff and students for another fantastic week. There is certainly never a dull moment at Mount Morgan High! ❤️
