Our Year 6 Junior School Council leaders, Eleanor and Clem, proudly pictured with this year’s donation to the Woodend Foodbank. 🎄💛

Today’s casual clothes day, “Spirit Day: The Spirit of Giving” invited students to bring along non-perishable items to support local families in the lead-up to Christmas.

A huge thank you to our school community for your generosity and kindness. Your contributions will make a real difference this festive season. 🌟🎁

For the past three years, our school community has been donating items to support families in Fiji — and the impact has been incredible. 🇫🇯💙

Local resident Prue, a retired teacher who once lived in Fiji, personally collects all donated items, fills a shipping container, and sends it directly to the people who need it most. Your generosity truly creates a lasting impact.

We’re again collecting clothing, stationery, bed linen, shoes and other useful items in good condition. Donations can be dropped off at the school office.

Thank you to everyone who continues to give so wholeheartedly. 💛

We say goodbye to Olivia from our SchoolsOUT OSHC team. From the very beginning, Olivia has played such a big part in setting up our before and after school care program, and the kids have absolutely loved having Olivia around. 💛

We’re so proud of Olivia for completing her teaching degree and excited for all that lies ahead in the new role. While we’ll miss Olivia dearly, we know amazing things are ahead

Thank you for everything, Olivia will always be part of the Mount Macedon PS family.

What an incredible performance! Our students shone on stage in TRASH & Co, and we couldn’t be prouder of their talent, energy, and teamwork. 🎭✨

A huge thank you goes to our amazing staff who went above and beyond – preparing, creating costumes, fixing backdrops, and sourcing props – your dedication made the show come alive. 🙌

To our wonderful parents, thank you for your patience, support, and for helping your children get performance-ready. 💛

And a very special shout-out to Jem and Sandi for their incredible work with the music and band – you truly brought the production to life! 🎶👏

Four of our amazing students recently visited the Kyneton Community Hub to cook and deliver meals to members of the community. 🥗🍲

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our Junior School Council, who raised funds through their fundraisers this year, all the patrons’ meals were paid for, not only for those attending the hub but also for community members who couldn’t make it and had meals delivered to their homes. 💛

We’re so proud of our students for showing kindness, teamwork, and community spirit in action! 👏

🌿✨ Today we celebrated the opening of our new playground, along with our Indigenous and sensory garden projects!

We were honoured to have Wurundjeri Elder Perry lead us in a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, sharing his story and wisdom. Special guests included Ken from the local RSL, Macedon Ranges Shire Mayor & Deputy Mayor Dom and Kate, Mrs Hyland and Olivia, as well as many families and community members.

Students from each grade shared their favourite parts of the playground and gardens — a beautiful celebration of inclusion, respect, and community. 💚

Our new Sensory Garden is complete!

A huge thank you to our amazing parent helpers for bringing this special space to life. The children are already loving it, one student said, “I love how the plants move in the wind!” while another shared, “The bee bath is my favourite part.” 🐝💧

Special shout out to Pia Shea for organising the entire project, your hard work has created something truly special. 💛

We’re also so grateful to the Taylor family from for generously providing our plants at a heavily discounted price. Your ongoing support means the world to our school community. 🌸

Wildlife have already started visiting, and our students are taking real pride in caring for this beautiful new space. 🌱🦋

We know it will continue to fill out in time, and we’re looking forward to watching it grow with our students.

A huge thank you to Mel from Landcare for running a planting session with our Junior School Councillors and the help of our Year 3/4 students. The area is looking fantastic and thriving!

This marks the final stage of our Flag/Indigenous Garden grant project, and we are so proud of how it has come together.

We’d also like to thank Andrew Sundblom, parent of Macsen and a dedicated Landcare volunteer, for your support and hard work in bringing this project to life.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to grow a long-term partnership with Landcare. Together we’ll create hands-on learning opportunities for our students, like local water studies, mini-beast adventures, and exploring the rich environment right here in our own backyard.

Big shoutout to Geordie at Riddells Creek Nursery
Thanks for hooking us up with awesome plants at such a great price! We’re so lucky to have your support. Our school is looking greener and brighter thanks to you! 💚

🎉👵👴 Today our Foundation students and staff celebrated 100 Days of School in the most fun way possible, by dressing up as 100-year-olds and playing games from 100 years ago! 🪁🎲

There were walking sticks, grey wigs, cardigans, and lots of laughter as teachers and support staff joined in on the fun too. What a memorable milestone for our youngest learners!
