STATE HONOURS ENSEMBLE PROGRAM | ๐ถโจWhat an incredible opportunity for our Instrumental Music students!
A group of our Primary and Secondary music students recently participated in the State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) Townsville, an annual program delivered by the Griffith University Conservatorium of Music.
SHEP brings together talented young musicians from schools across the region, giving students the opportunity to perform in ensembles alongside other young musicians and work with highly qualified ensemble directors. Following selection, students take part in an intensive weekend workshop before showcasing their hard work in a polished performance on Sunday.
Congratulations to our talented musicians for being selected to participate and for embracing this wonderful musical experience! Our students were recently recognised for their achievement and presented with certificates at their Secondary and Primary Assemblies.
Secondary: Lulu, Noah, Evie, Ada, Brooke, Willem, Lume and Liz
Primary: Ella, Mary, Eloise, Macey and Alyssa
A special congratulations also goes to Liz, who recently represented Calvary at CONNECT in Darwin, where she performed in the Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble and a combined ensemble, working alongside members of the Australian Army Band. What an experience!
Well done to all our students for their dedication, musicianship and commitment to growing as young performers!๐๐ถ
