What an incredible weekend at the World Scholarβs Cup! ππ
On Friday and Saturday, 33 Perth College students joined over 500 students from schools across WA to compete in debating, humanities, writing and general knowledge challenges β both individually and in teams.
Our students represented Perth College exceptionally well, with some wonderful highlights including:
β¨ Leila Scarf placing 3rd overall in the Junior Division
β¨ Leila Scarf, Linda Yao and Zara Raffanβs team placing 4th overall in the Junior Division
β¨ Two of our Year 5 teams winning debates against Year 8 teams in their very first competition!
A particularly special moment was seeing Perth College World Scholarβs Cup alumna Isabelle return to co-host the Saturday event and present medals to students. Although Isabelle did not compete this year due to study commitments, it was incredibly meaningful to watch her award medals to some of our youngest scholars.
Congratulations to all students involved on their outstanding efforts, teamwork and achievements!
