🦷 This National Science Week, we’re celebrating the science behind every smile!

Sara started her journey at TAFE Queensland as a dental prosthetics student after moving to Australia, and now she’s back in the lab teaching others.

From creating dentures to working with real patients in our public clinics, Sara’s story shows how hands-on learning and science come together to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Now, as a Clinical Demonstrator, she’s helping our students build the same skills and confidence she once had.

Science isn’t just in textbooks – it’s in every smile our students help create.

It's Aged Care Employee Day and we're celebrating the TAFE Queensland students, graduates and educators working in this critical sector, acknowledging their dedication and compassion to make a real difference in the lives of older Australians. 💜

With more than 50,000 job openings expected across the health, aged care and community services sectors over the next five years, there has never been a better time to build a rewarding career in aged care.

The TAFE Centre of Excellence Health Care and Support is helping prepare the future workforce through industry-focused training and innovative learning opportunities that equip students with the skills needed to support their communities.

The Centre's also investing in new approaches to workforce development through Applied Research Grants. One recipient, Veri Health Media, is developing culturally safe and inclusive videos and podcasts designed to support attraction, engagement and retention across the aged care workforce. Watch the video to learn more 👇

Round three of the Applied Research Grants is open now, learn more 👉 https://brnw.ch/21x4K64

The Centre, led by TAFE Queensland, is a joint initiative between the Australian and Queensland Governments.
