📢 Important Notice for Learner Drivers and Parents

Log Book Approval Must Be Completed Before Your Driving Test

We want to clarify a common point of confusion:

⚠️ TMR may allow learners to book a test online even if their log book hasn’t been approved. However, the practical driving test will not go ahead without log book approval.

✅ Learner Responsibility: It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure their log book is completed correctly and submitted to TMR for approval.
✅ TMR Communication: The Department of Transport and Main Roads communicates directly with learners, not driving schools.
✅ Driving Schools’ Role: We provide instruction and guidance, but we cannot lodge log books or approve them.

💡 Tip: Always ensure your log book is approved before booking your test to avoid disappointment.

• drive slowly (to avoid aquaplaning and skidding);

• avoid braking, accelerating or turning suddenly;

• switch your lights on low beam (it's easier to see in fog); and
