School readiness is about more than knowing your ABCs and counting to 20. 🎒✏️
At Kumon, our early learners are developing the skills that help them walk into the prep classroom ready to learn.
🌱 Following instructions and classroom routines
🌱 Sitting, concentrating and working independently
🌱 Holding and controlling a pencil with confidence
🌱 Recognising letters, sounds and numbers
🌱 Building early reading and numeracy skills
🌱 Learning to persist when something feels challenging
🌱 Developing the confidence to have a go without always needing an adult beside them
Our Kumon programmes allow children to begin at a comfortable level and build skills gradually through small, achievable steps.
The goal isn’t to rush children ahead.
It’s to help them arrive at school thinking: “I know how to learn. I can do this.”
That confidence, independence and familiarity with learning can make a big difference to those first weeks of Prep. 💛
