Last night, our team came together for an evening of learning and collaboration! 💙

Miss Raeda, our Standing Together Representative for Cultural Learning, shared valuable insights from her recent meeting with our sister centres.

Alongside this, our team collaborated and reflected on our outdoor environments and how we can continue to create meaningful spaces for learning and connection.

Together, we are building a deeper understanding, connection and respect for acknowledgement of country, individual culture and our community. 🌿✨

🌈 Building, Creating & Learning Together! 🧱💕

Our little learners have been busy using their creativity, problem-solving skills and teamwork to build something amazing!

Working together to balance and stack the blocks encourages children to communicate, take turns and persevere when things don’t quite go to plan. 🌟

It’s wonderful to see our children learning through hands-on play, supporting one another and celebrating their achievements together!

The Kindy kids are all about building cubbies and creating their very own play forts! 🏕️✨

Over the past week, the children have been busy using their imaginations, creativity and teamwork to design and build special spaces to play, relax and explore. From arranging cushions and loose parts to creating secret hideaways, the children have been working together to bring their ideas to life.

Cubbies and forts provide so many opportunities for learning through play! They encourage children to problem-solve, communicate, negotiate, collaborate and make decisions, while also supporting their confidence and independence. 💭🧱🤝

We love watching the children take the lead, share their ideas and turn simple materials into something completely magical! 🌿💙

Last night our amazing team completed their First Aid and CPR training! 👏
Keeping our children safe is always our number one priority, and ensuring our educators have the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond in an emergency is such an important part of what we do.

A huge thank you to our dedicated team for showing up to refresh their skills and continue their professional development. 🩹✨

We’re so proud of the commitment our educators show to providing a safe, caring and supportive environment for every child, every day! 💙

Meet Jessie – Centre Director 💜

Jessie is the Centre Director at Active Kids Mt Gravatt, bringing over eight years of experience in childcare and more than four years with Active Kids.

Throughout her journey as an educator, Jessie has embraced nearly every role, beginning as a float educator and centre cook before progressing to her current position as Centre Director. Her passion for early childhood education and commitment to supporting children, families and educators continues to guide her leadership.

Jessie firmly believes that every child and family deserves a warm, welcoming and supportive environment, where educators are empowered to thrive and, in turn, help every child flourish. 💕

As a mother of four, Jessie understands the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships with families. As the saying goes, “it takes a village,” and Jessie recognises that when families entrust their children to Active Kids each day, the centre becomes an important part of that village — working together to support children’s future success and their transition to school. 🌱
