🎨✨ What an incredible evening at our 2026 Art Show, The Story of Art! ✨🎨

Last night, our school was transformed into a vibrant gallery showcasing the creativity, talent, and imagination of every student, as well as students from our local kindergartens, childcares and OSHC. Each child contributed a unique artwork, helping to tell the story of art through different styles and techniques.

It was wonderful to see so many families and community members, including local artist Bianca Richarson and Education Director Nigel Brito, come together to celebrate our young artists and the hard work they have put into their creations. The pride on the students' faces as they shared their artwork was truly special.

A huge thank you to staff, volunteers, and families for helping make the evening such a success. Most importantly, congratulations to all of the students for their outstanding efforts and for creating such a memorable exhibition.

⭐️ Our student leaders proudly represented McPark today at the City of Mount Gambier’s tree planting to mark 150 years since the proclamation of the town of Mount Gambier. ⭐️

At McDonald Park School we have a dedicated band of volunteers including parents, other family members, and members of the wider community who volunteer their valuable time to our school on a regular basis. The list of tasks the volunteers perform is lengthy: Governing Council, volunteering in the garden and kitchen, helping out in the resource centre, taking books home to cover, working in the canteen, listening to reading, going on excursions and camps, LAP volunteers, helping out on special days eg sports days, fundraisers, school sports coaches and all the other little things that they do on a regular basis.
