A trio of former Tenison Woods College students have shined at Aquinas College's recent Marcellin Medallion Awards Dinner. The annual awards see 10 students - one from each house - chosen by their House Coordinator as the house member aligning the closest in behaviour and values to the way St. Marcellin Champagnat, the patron of the Marists, lived his life.
Of those 10 medals awarded, three were presented to Tenison Woods College graduates, with Jonty Collins, Austin Fatchen and Josh Godrik each recognised for their outstanding qualities.

On Wednesday, our Year 5 students participated in the Lions Mad Minute Public Speaking competition. This competition is held each year in Year 5 classes across the South East, with students only having one minute to talk about a random topic to an audience of peers.
We congratulate all students for their efforts this term with their public speaking skills and are very proud of many individual achievements. The competition day was judged by two local Lions Club members, who had the difficult task of choosing three place winners per class. We congratulate these winners and thank the Lions Club of Mount Gambier for their continued support of this wonderful initiative in the South East.

Today, we came together as a school community to celebrate our Mass for Charity. Father Prathap drew out the heart of the gospel, encouraging us to recognise that everyday acts of charity, though they may seem small, can make a big difference in the life of another. Students involved with the Timor-Leste Immersion experience then shared with us about the importance of community, friendship, and solidarity that connects us to our brothers and sisters in Timor-Leste. Over the coming week, students and staff will action these messages as we look ahead to Charity Day on Friday 19 June.

Today, we farewelled a group of eight students, accompanied by Principal David Mezinec and Bernadette Fisher, who have departed for Timor-Leste to attend the Inauguration and Blessing of the Chapel of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Eraulo.
Nevae Brooksby, Toby Drew, Czara Kumbhare, Grace McCarthy, Claire
Mitchell, Macey OโBrien, James Vaughan and Ivy Wurst are all previous participants of the Timor-Leste Immersion Program and are looking forward to reconnecting with the culture, community and friends they made during their last visit.
The blessing ceremony will take place tomorrow morning at the Bakhita Centre in Eraulo and marks a significant milestone for the local community. Our group will attend the opening in support of our good friend Eddie De Pina, who has been a valued partner of the Tenison Woods College Timor-Leste Immersion Program and, over the past nine years, has played a significant role in its growth and ongoing success.
Something very exciting is planned following the opening ceremony, so be sure to follow our journey on Instagram at to keep up to date with the big surprise. We will also be sharing regular updates and reflections with our school community through our Timor-Leste blog, which can be found at https://www.tenison.catholic.edu.au/blogs/timor-leste-2026
Please keep our students, staff, and the Timorese community in your prayers as we celebrate this special occasion and continue to strengthen the bonds of friendship and solidarity that unite our communities.

An excited group of 80 Year 5/6 students recently attended the Junior School Performance Bootcamp at Wehl St Theatre. With the aims of improving their skills, teambuilding and making new connections, students from the Year 5/6 Drama Club, Year 5/6 Choir and Year 6 Band had a fantastic time.
The Bootcamp theme was โCarsโ (selected by Junior School Performing Arts Leaders Matthew and Lexie) and students won points for the team throughout the
Bootcamp. Culminating in an excellent concert to students and families, the Bootcamp was an inspiring opportunity for our students.
Congratulations to all, and thank you to organising and supporting staff.
