Kunyung Kindergarten Mount Eliza Kunyung preschool is a community run, not for profit organisation that has been welcoming families in the Mount Eliza community for over 50 years.

Our highly respected educators deliver enriching programs to our 3 and 4 year old preschoolers. At Kunyung Preschool we believe that play is the work of children. Through play we look to our children to gain a lifelong love of learning. We believe it is important for children to have a natural environment which gives them the freedom to express ideas, and where they are encouraged to follow throug

h and extend their interests and are able to reflect on what they have learned. We provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children are valued as individuals. We provide a program of open-ended learning and educational experiences that take account of the various ways in which children learn based on their interests and unique abilities. We aim to provide an environment where staff acknowledges that families are a child’s most significant relationship, where staff are active in building strong partnerships and involvement with parents on the care, nurturing and education of their children. Ours is an environment where staff as team members show trust, respect and support to each other, and where they share their talents and abilities, taking an ethical and professional approach to children and their families and applying their knowledge and expertise in all aspects of their work. We welcome the opportunity to join with parents and their children on this journey – learning from them, sharing with them and guiding them as they become more aware of who they are (Being), learning and respecting how they fit in to this world that we share (Belonging), and discovering what they are capable of (Becoming), through the continual process of growth and change. We believe that children achieve the best learning outcomes of Being, Becoming and Belonging when allowed to pilot their own interests and pace of learning.

Time to close off another great kinder year! A huge thank you to our amazing kinder teachers. A farewell to our 4 year old classes of 2025! We wish you all the best on your new adventures of big school next year, and we will miss you all!
