It’s time to bring our favourite stories to life! Students are invited to dress as a beloved book character and join us for a fun-filled parade celebrating the magic of reading.

We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes - let your imagination run wild! 🧙‍♀️🐉🧚‍♀️🚀🏴‍☠️

Please remember to choose costumes that are comfortable, school-appropriate and easy to move in. We look forward to celebrating with our wonderful school community!

Last Friday we celebrated Principals’ Day and recognised the wonderful leadership, care and dedication of Shaun, Carrie & Claire.

Book Week Saturday 22nd to Friday 28th August 2026:

To celebrate Book Week this year, students are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character for our Book Parade, which will be held in the morning of Thursday 20th August.

This year’s Book Week theme is ‘Symphony of Stories,’ celebrating how different characters, voices, and plots blend together like instruments in an orchestra to make a wonderful reading experience.

Crazy hair & casual dress to finish up Term 2! Thank you to everyone who created, crafted, sprayed, styled & designed the amazing hairstyles we saw today. As a school we raised over $400 for Cystic Fibrosis - an AMAZING achievement. Well done MDRPS!
