🌎 Pre-Kindy’s Space Project 🌟🪐
Our Pre-Kindy children have been exploring the exciting world of space! Through hands-on experiences, creative activities, stories and group discussions, the children have been learning about planets, stars, rockets, astronauts and our solar system. 🚀
The space project also became a wonderful interactive learning space, with other children from around the centre and their families visiting the area to explore, play and engage with the displays and experiences. This created opportunities for children to share their learning, connect with others and build a sense of community.
This project supported the children’s learning and development in many areas, including:
✨ Language and communication – sharing ideas, asking questions and learning new vocabulary.
✨ Cognitive development – exploring concepts, problem-solving and developing curiosity.
✨ Social skills – interacting with other children, families and educators.
✨ Creativity and imagination – expressing ideas through art, construction and dramatic play.
✨ Fine motor skills – cutting, painting, drawing, building and manipulating materials.
We love seeing the children’s curiosity lead their learning and watching our wider centre community come together to explore and reach for the stars!
