As a Diploma educator with over 23 years of experience, working with children of all ages. I love watching children grow and develop independently. I value the importance of building strong relationships and partnerships with the children and their families based on trust, respect, and open communication. Enrolment is open to children from 18 months to 4 years. I offer many programs to fit the needs of every child. Within my room setup, I use developmental areas to develop the children’s learning. Children are constantly at play inside and outside. They can be active/passive, involved in individual or group play, and can be noisy or quiet. I program to facilitate these situations and timetable to allow for a flow of movement to enable a variety of play situations to occur. There is a balance between educator-directed activities and activities that are child-directed. My room is a rich learning environment that provides children with opportunities to explore and learn. As the year starts, you notice my program values the importance of play, fun, emotions, and feelings in my Early Learning program. My Philosophy: At Explore N Learn, I follow a child-centred approach to education. I believe each child is unique and has their own set of skills, interests, and learning style. Social and Emotional Development: I promote positive social interactions, empathy, and self-regulation and cooperative activities.
