Today we're celebrating Early Childhood Educators' Day!

To every educator on our team, thank you for the patience, creativity and heart you bring each day. You do so much more than care for children; you help shape their confidence, curiosity and love of learning from the very start. We're proud of our team and grateful for everything they do.

Last Monday we made our own natural paint using different foods! We ground coffee to make brown, spinach to make green, beetroot to make pink, and turmeric to make yellow.

The children loved exploring how everyday ingredients can transform into vibrant colours, then getting creative and painting on paper with their homemade paint! A perfect hands-on way to celebrate Science Week.

Dear Parents,

A reminder that this Friday 28th of August secure a visit from Delivering Dental at our centre.

If you would like your child to take part. Please ensure you fill out a permission form either by scanning the QR code provided in the centre, or by simply visiting the Delivering Dental website www.deliveringdental.com.au/parent-consent-form

Please ensure your consent forms are submitted as soon as possible for action by the Delivering Dental admin team.

Their service is free to children eligible for the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). This dental benefits scheme is for children aged 0-17 years and provides up to $1,158 for basic dental services every two years.

If you are unsure as to whether the Medicare scheme will cover your child, we recommend that you complete a form, as the team from Delivering Dental will be in contact with you if you are not covered to see if you’d still like to go ahead.

If you are not eligible for the scheme, the blanket fee ($75 per child) can be claimed through most private health insurance plans.

Bubbling, brewing and full of imagination! 🧪✨

Our little scientists at Mount Coolum have been busy, mixing up magical potions of their own creation. This kind of open-ended play builds so much - fine motor skills, early science concepts, and confidence to experiment and create. Plus, it's just plain fun!

📚 We've got a little community library out the front of our centre!

Pop by anytime and take a browse. Borrow a book, drop one off, or just swap it for something new. Whether you're after a bedtime story for your child or something for yourself, there's a good chance you'll find something worth taking home.

And if you've got a book on your shelf that you think the whole community should read, we'd love for you to add it in.

At Mount Coolum Early Learning this August, our children are becoming real researchers — and the discoveries happening in our rooms right now are genuinely wonderful. Colour changing cabbage water. Seeds growing against a glass jar. Shadows shifting across the ground throughout the day. ️

What a wonderful morning connecting with our friends at Estia Health! 💛

Hayley led the children in a fun game, working together with pool noodles to keep the ball off the ground. There were plenty of giggles and high fives all round! The children also had a turn at bowls with the residents, before finishing off with some musical instruments to bring a bit of joy and rhythm to everyone's day.

These visits mean so much, not just for our children but for the residents too. Building connections across generations is something we truly value.
