News for our Art & Design Enthusiasts!

Our fabulous Art teachers are working together with interested High School students to create Fringe posters for an upcoming competition!

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to explore their creativity, develop their art and design skills, and be part of an exciting project. Students can get involved during electives, and depending on interest, the Art Room may also be open during selected lunch times.

If you’re passionate about art and design, or simply keen to get creative, we’d love to support you!

We are Adelaide Fringe, the Biggest Arts Festival in Australia! We were born 66 years ago (although we don't look a day over 25) and for 31 magical days and nights each year we completely take over the beautiful city of Adelaide, South Australia.

2nd Place at the State-Wide Volleyball Competition!

Students from Classes 10, 11 and 12 came together to represent our school at the state-wide volleyball competition in Victor Harbor. After weeks of preparation, the team finished 2nd overall — just 2 points from progressing further.

A wonderful reflection of their commitment, teamwork and determination! Well done, team! 🌿

Last week, our Class 8 students warmly welcomed our Japanese exchange students with a taste of some much-loved Australian favourites!

As part of the experience, our students prepared short speeches about each food, sharing its history, significance and what makes it a favourite in Australia.

There were plenty of smiles, curious reactions and new favourites discovered along the way as our visitors sampled Vegemite, Tim Tams, ANZAC biscuits, lamingtons, fairy bread and meat pies! 😋

Thank you Kyotanabe School!

We were delighted to welcome Yuko, Hisako, and students from our sister school Kyotanabe School in Japan recently

From our youngest learners to our senior classes, we were excited to share this special cultural exchange, to host students in our homes and share the beautiful Adelaide Hills with them.

Thank you for the chance to form new friendships, learn from one another, share our cultures, and create lasting memories together. See you again soon!

Some of our littlest hands have been busy working with rasps, sandpaper and pine bark.

The unexpected joys have been the filings being 'chocolate sprinkles', its use for baking in the sandpit and the delight in discovering the colour and patterns hiding in the wood.

There is no expectation that the bark will be turned into a shape, just the children working in the present and the joy in doing. At the end of our outside play the bark and tools get gathered up into the basket ready for next time.

After a joyful and inspiring first term, our Ink Pot Arts Drama Club continues its journey, accompanying children as they cultivate self-expression, creativity, and quiet inner confidence.
This is enabled through immersing themselves in the enchanting tale of "The Wordsmith’s Cats", transforming language into magical, living pictures on stage.

Led by Jo-anne Sarre, and supported by An Lê and Paul Cleaver, the project will culminate in performances in November 2026.
