And just like that, another Book Week takes a bow!

We celebrated our Symphony of Stories with a range of different activities across the week. We had our Dress Up Day Parade, toe-tapping musical singalongs, worked together to make a Bookworm (outside the library if you want to look!), students were surprised to have mystery readers drop in to their class for extra story times, and embarked on a Scavenger Hunt adventure during recess.

A heartfelt thank you extends to Mrs Paterson and all the dedicated staff who orchestrated these captivating activities. We also express our gratitude to the parents and caregivers who wove their creative magic into costumes and shared the stories that make Book Week such a wonderful week for our students.

At St Mark’s, we’ve composed a symphony of stories with our students and staff donning their favourite literary characters, bringing stories to life for our Book Week Parade today. From musical icons, to magical adventures and thrilling tales, we celebrated the joy of reading and the power of stories to connect us all.

What a jam-packed week we've had here at St Mark's!

Foundation to Year 4 students have enjoyed diving into the fun of Swim Week and learning about water safety. All students have explored a range of different activities for National Science Week. On Tuesday, our new SRC members led our Whole School Assembly. Aidan Mitchell from Cornerstone College led us in a fun Chapel service, combining science, with God's love. Today, our Year 6's headed to Cornerstone College for HILS Science Day, and Year 5's were off on an excursion to Hallet Cove Conservation Park.

Following a beautiful Chapel from Class 1US about finding beauty and joy in all of God's creations, students were treated to a surprise extended recess, where they were joined by school staff! This was a great chance for students and staff to connect, to take some time out from a busy week and to enjoy some time outside.

Guten Tag! Yesterday, St Mark's hosted their annual German Day, organised by our Year 5 students and Frau Emmett. Students had the chance to 'travel' to Deutschland, exploring different German traditions and activities before trying a German sausage! It was an engaging and enjoyable learning experience for all.

We’ve had another wonderful week here at St Mark's, filled with lots of learning, arts, play time, and more. Pastor Greg led us in Chapel, Year 2 students became budding photographers, Year 4's worked on drawing with charcoal, Foundations enjoyed literacy lessons, and everyone enjoyed their play time outside, in nature.

Our whole school chapel today was led by 3MOW sharing how they Let Their Light Shine across the school. Pastor Greg, along with St Mark’s members Jane and Lyn, then gifted our new Mid-Year Foundations personalised bag tags as a gesture of welcome.

What a brilliant start to the term!

We welcomed our new Mid-Year Foundations who have settled in wonderfully. Families and students have participated in different informational sessions run by The Chat Academy. Plus a range of learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classrooms!
