This week our card for guidance comes from ‘The Path of Light Oracle’. By Anthony Salerno.

14 Love for All
“Unconditional love for all beings is the highest spiritual principle and, accordingly, is the ultimate aim for us to work towards. To be successful in this endeavour, you will need to transcend your judgements through understanding and compassion, transforming them into an open-hearted state of love and wisdom.”

Our ability to love is the single most important barometer of our progress on the spiritual path. Not our practices, what we read, what we say or what we eat, but how often we are able to love and act appropriately rather than judge and react. Love is understanding one another. Love is wanting the best for another. True unconditional love occurs naturally when our mind is balanced and centred and we transcend our judgement.

A. 39 The Upward Path

“Every human heart can be raised to the light. Follow the upward path by aiming at embodying the divine qualities that will lead you to the realisation of your true self and the experience of heaven on earth.”

What we think about, focus on and act upon, we draw towards us and ultimately bring into existence. Our dominant thoughts and actions become our life, so be mindful of your thoughts and choose them wisely.

B. 11 Fulfillment
“No amount of pleasure or material objects can ever truly satisfy you. The person who only seeks these things can never be content, but through communion with you true Self/God, you will experience peace, joy, and complete fulfillment.”

When we have done lusting after things in the material world, we are still left wanting and unfulfilled, unsatisfied and discontent, we are then ready for our inward journey.

C. 23 Beyond Pleasure
“You should enjoy the material world and all it has to offer while ensuring that, through moderation, you do not become habituated or reliant upon it – for such things can only provide momentary satisfaction. Remember that the only things that can provide lasting fulfillment and nourishment is communion with the Soul.”

All physical things go through the same process and they all exist in a state of flux. Everything is impermanent. The physical world can be difficult to resist. Anything done in excess can become a poison. Moderation is essential.
