JUNIOR SCHOOL // Our Year 5 students had a wonderful day visiting Parliament House, where they enjoyed an informative tour and had the opportunity to meet Matt Schultz - Member for Kavel. The students also took part in a role-play activity, giving them the chance to experience what it is like to make a law. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience, and the students thoroughly enjoyed stepping into the roles of Parliament. A great day was had by all!

LUNCH CLUB // Last week, our Year 5 students proudly led Lunch Club, sharing their love of football with the younger students. They had a wonderful time teaching them a range of football skills, encouraging them to have a go and supporting them throughout the session. It was fantastic to see our Year 5 students demonstrating leadership, patience and teamwork while helping the younger children build their confidence and have fun. A wonderful lunchtime was enjoyed by all!

SCHOOL INCURSION // Sam from 'Youth for Christ' visited our campus recently, to share an engaging and interactive presentation about the Fruit of the Spirit, focusing on Galatians 5:22–23. Through stories, discussion, and activities, Sam helped the children explore how love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control can be demonstrated in their everyday lives. The presentation encouraged the children to reflect on their own actions and inspired them to grow in these Christ-like qualities. The children were enthusiastic throughout the session and actively participated, making it a meaningful and enjoyable learning experience.

EARLY YEARS // We're revisiting one of 1B's most delicious learning experiences yet! To launch their Procedure Writing unit, students rolled up their sleeves and made fairy bread under the guidance of placement student Mrs Maslin. After carefully planning and writing their own procedures, students followed each step to bring their instructions to life. It was a fun and memorable way to explore the importance of writing clear, accurate directions while enjoying a well-earned treat at the end. We can't wait to see how their writing continues to grow throughout the term.

OUT & ABOUT // Take another look at the fun our Year 2 and Year 3 students had during Swimming Week! From building water confidence to developing essential swimming skills, our students embraced every opportunity to learn, challenge themselves and enjoy time with their classmates. The smiles, laughter and enthusiasm throughout the week made for a wonderful learning experience, and by the end of each session, there were plenty of happy (but tired!) faces after an afternoon well spent in the pool.

EARLY YEARS // Our Year 1 students had a wonderful time launching their Procedure Writing unit with a fairy bread-making lesson last week, led by placement student Mrs Maslin. Students worked collaboratively to plan and write their own procedures, carefully considering the sequence of each step and the importance of using clear, specific instructions. They then put their writing into action by following their procedures to create their fairy bread. This hands-on learning experience gave students a meaningful understanding of why procedures need to be accurate and easy to follow. It was a delicious way to begin the unit, and we look forward to seeing their procedural writing skills continue to develop throughout the term.

SCHOOL FUNDRAISER // Today we're looking back at the final day of Term 2, where warm clothes were matched by warm hearts. Our students and families came together to support the 'Hungry No More' program through generous food donations, demonstrating compassion and service in action. We are grateful for the kindness shown across our school community.

OUT & ABOUT // Our Year 2 and Year 3 students had a fantastic time during their swimming sessions last week, building confidence in the water while developing important swimming skills. There were plenty of smiles, laughter and memorable moments as the children enjoyed learning and playing alongside their classmates. After giving their best effort in the pool, many students were happily tired by the end of the day, a sure sign of an active, fun-filled experience.
