Weekly Events - Week 7A

Dear students, parents, carers, and the MAHS community,

Welcome to Week 7A, commencing Monday 31st August 2026. This is one of my favourite weeks of the year. This week we acknowledge our diverse cultures by celebrating our multiculturalism. This week students are encouraged to wear on Thursday 3rd September their traditional dress and be ready for the wonderful activities on the day that represent our unity, acceptance and our strong sense of belonging. I cannot wait for the performances during period 5, together with our face painting, multicultural parade and BBQ during break times. Thank you to all staff and students involved in this day.

Also, thank you to the PDHPE Faculty and a range of staff who supported our ‘Sports Inspire Day’. It was a fun day with many external sporting leaders attending to provide our students with opportunities and experiences. This sport experience continues with our Year 7 Macarthur Zone Gala Day on Wednesday 3rd September. Year 7, be ready for another fun day of competition against schools in our zone.

As a reminder, this term concludes on Friday 25th September and resumes for Years 7 to 11 on Tuesday 13th October with Year 12 students commencing their HSC Examination on this day. For Year 12 families, do not forget the Year 12 Farewell ‘Walk Through’ on Wednesday 23rd September. We look forward to our families attending for the Year 12 final walk-through during period 5 as they leave our gates for the final time as a Mount Annan High School student before their HSC Examination in October.

It is also SASS Appreciation Week. We would like to acknowledge the wonderful SASS staff of our school. The work they do for us in the school and with community is outstanding. We wish them all a most amazing week.

Other events occurring this week include:
• Tuesday: Year 9 and 10 Coffee Club.
• Wednesday: Macarthur Zone Year 7 Gala Day.
• Wednesday: Years 7 and 8 Support Unit Lake Annan Fieldwork Excursion.
• Thursday: Multicultural Day – YAY – Ms Cav’s Favourite Day!!!!!
• Thursday: Year 9 Boys West Tigers Empower Program.
• Thursday: Support Unit Work Experience at Hoxton Park Industries.
• Friday: Support Unit Community Access Programs for Years 7 to 10.
• Friday: Support Unit Years 10 to 12 Wink Program.

Wishing everyone a fantastic week and don’t forget to be amazing, do good things, and put your rubbish in the bin.
