🥋 SMOOTH KIDS IN-HOUSE COMP #5 🥋

Our fifth kids’ in-house BJJ competition will be held on Sunday, 18 October 2026!

This event is exclusively for Smooth Jiu Jitsu students and gives our kids the chance to experience competition in a friendly, supportive and familiar environment.

Competitors will be matched as closely as possible by age, weight and experience. Whether it’s their first competition or they’ve competed before, it’s a great opportunity to build confidence, test their skills and have some fun with their teammates.

🥋 THE FINAL PUSH TO BLUE BELT

As we head towards our end-of-year grading, we’ll be running a series of FREE 2-hour White Belt Workshops for Smooth members.

These sessions are aimed specifically at our 3–4 stripe white belts who are getting close to Blue Belt level.

We’ll work through the required material, tighten up the gaps in your game and make sure you know what’s expected heading into grading.

For newer white belts: these workshops aren’t an indication that you’ll be grading to Blue Belt this year. Your time will come — keep training and building your foundations.

For our 3–4 stripe white belts, though:

🔵 This is the final push.
Two-hour focused sessions.
All the required material.
No cost.

End-of-year grading is the target. Dates announced soon.

Looking for something that gets the kids active, builds confidence and teaches them real skills — while they’re having a great time?

Our kids Jiu Jitsu programs are designed to help children develop confidence, discipline, focus, resilience and respect in a positive and supportive environment.

We have two age-specific programs:

🥋 Little Ninjas | Ages 5–7
Fun, structured classes introducing the fundamentals of Jiu Jitsu while building coordination, confidence and listening skills.

🥋 Junior Warriors | Ages 8–13
Progressive Jiu Jitsu training where kids develop technique, fitness, self-defence, discipline and confidence.

No previous experience needed — complete beginners are always welcome.
